From Helena Daily World - 09/23/02
Tampering suspect faces another charge
By STEVE RUSSELL
World Staff Writer
Already under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigat-ion, Helena sanitation director Larry Gray was arrested this weekend by Helena Police on a charge of "terroristic threatening," according to Gray's attorney, James Valley.
According to a sworn affidavit from Bobby Jones, Jones said that Gray told a city worker to plant drugs in Jones' car and alert the police. However, Jones said in the affidavit, the city worker notified Jones of Mr. Gray's intentions and told Jones that Gray said "he was going to get (Jones)."
"I do fear for my life," Jones wrote in the affidavit.
Helena Police arrested Gray Sunday afternoon and bond was set by Circuit Judge L.T. Simes at $100,000, Valley said. Chancery and Circuit Judge Kathleen Bell reconsidered Gray's bond and set it at $5,000, Valley said.
The bond was paid, Gray was released and he returned to work Monday, Valley said.
Gray also has been charged by the FBI for the alleged "tampering with a witness in an ongoing investigation," another charge involving Jones, Valley said.
The FBI alleges that Gray threatened a witness at gunpoint. According to Bud Cummins, U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, the ongoing investigation concerns allegations of voter fraud in Phillips County.
Cummins would not comment on the details of the investigation, nor would he confirm or deny that the investigation concerns the allegation that Gray forged 300 absentee ballots in the primary election for state representative between Barbara King and Arnell Willis.
King won the election by 90 votes.
Valley said that both the federal and local charges pit the word of Jones against the word of Gray.
"Our defense is that it didn't occur," Valley said. In the case of the federal charge, he added, "(the incident) is a figment of Mr. Jones' imagination."
He called the most recent allegation "another bogus charge from Mr. Jones."
Amazing fellow, Mr. Gray.

I couldn't help it, FJ; the devil made me do it! : )

Amazing fellow, Mr. Gray. But the Rats will deny any affiliation/association with all the "Mr. Grays." They did it of their own volition and accord. The RATS had "absolutely nothing" to do with it.

Dead voters? I'm shocked !! :O0

I'm glad to see steps are being taken to clean it up, these worthless scummy democrats need to be cleaned out too. There is no telling how many of them are illegally sitting in the congress and senate due to fraud.

Thanks for the links, although I think one of them is Oklahoma. I have been saving links to a lot of the fraud threads. I have also seen the voter fraud archive thread and have it stashed as well. I don't know what we do about it though in the interim. Seems there is very limited prosecution for these things and certainly no close scrutiny of the ballots. Seems kinda pointless to detect fraud if the votes are allowed to stand.
Take South Dalota and the issue going on there now where there has been rampant fraud discovered and an election "win" by less than 1/4 of 1%. It is known that there were more "registered" voters than there are people eligible to register in some of these counties, not surprisingly the same ones that were the last to come in which tipped the election in favor of Johnson....barely. And yet it appears unlikey that Thune will ask for a recount. What is wrong with this picture?
To: sweetliberty
If Republicans don't have the guts to go after this fraud, then Democrats win by default. Caos, confusion, out of control immigration, victimization, rampant voter fraud...all are all means to the same end. They are counting on Republicans giving up. Republicans should JUST DO WHAT IS RIGHT; tell the public exactly why and they will be suprised at the public support out there!

Outfront honesty would be a refreshing change on both sides, even when the position wasn't a popular one. At least you could make a clear distinction and intelligent choices instead of always having to second guess everything that is said. But I suppose that would take some guts and I see little evidence of elected officials on either side having any.
