[history]
November 6, 2002 -- The surge of Republican congressional victories last night marked a setback for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton - even as it offered fresh proof that Rudy Giuliani can influence a race.
Clinton, through campaign appearances and money from her PAC, backed dozens of House and Senate candidates who lost yesterday - including several who were high priorities for her.

Giuliani backed some losers - Mike Fisher, who was running for governor - but he had a much more solid showing overall. Funny that he didn't mention Giuliani's support for Bill Simon.
Hillary is still very dangerous.

Can it be? Are we witnessing the waning of Clintonism? A glimmer of hope this morning. V's wife.

Rudy was a stellar campaigner this cycle, second only to W. While I've always worried about Rudy being a NY Liberal RINO, since 9-11, he has been the epitome of the solid principled leader.
I hope he stays engaged in GOP causes -- he'd be a wonderful successor to Pitaki or challenger to the Hildabeast in 2006 -- or possible follow-on to GWB in 2008.
Great Job, Rudy!

Can it be? Are we witnessing the waning of Clintonism...Yes... it's one more nail in the coffin of clintonism- or maybe it's more like those chains Marley's Ghost was forced to drag around for eternity in death... forged one link at a time by foul deeds and a bad attitude.
Whatever... once again, it's Sunrise in America-

The clinton legacy just keeps giving and giving!!!!!
Let's see if we can go ahead and book bill and hillary
for some 2004 campaign appearances for democRAT
candidates!
The whole nation saw the goofy smiles those two were
wearing throughout the memorial service-pep rally in
Minnesota, and that's all the reminder people needed
to head to the polls and reject clintonism one mo' time!
Thanks to bill and hill for energizing the GOP base
like no Republican ever could!
This election has been loaded with thrills. I love the
fact that one of the few Republican incumbents to lose
was that RINO connie morella, who voted against
impeachment. Since I was confident we had the House won, I
actually cheered that democRAT pick-up!

I read the same about Morella about an hour ago and thought the exact same thing. The Washington Times article said she ran a commercial accusing her opponent of sounding like a republican. Talk about rhetoric to keep the base home. She is history. Hooray. V's wife.
