My thanks to my brothers and sisters in arms, out there away from their families. This year I sat at home with my wife and kids watching the election results come in, thankful that I could this time, knowing that my friends are out there, away from their families, keeping us safe. Thanks, and I know soon it'll be my turn again to sit in desert-colored uniforms watching TV while others are at home.

Thank you, Tonkin. Letters going out. Our military was present at the polls yesterday, and at thousands of sign wavings, in letters to the editor and bedtime lessons for children. Their votes will not be denied again.

Ditto!
Thank you to all members of the military! Thank you veterans!

"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the
press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of
speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the
freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves
beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the
protester to burn the flag." ~Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC

And thank God for all who gave their lives this past year in our war with the terrorists - and God be with their families - and also with the families of those on the front lines - and on the backlines - of this war - right now. And, I must say, again, God be with the families of those killed on September 11th - and the heroes that day!
Today is a clear message to America's enemies! We are UNITED behind our President, behind our military, and against the terrorists of the world. Let's roll!

Please remember that the military men and women we hold in such high esteem today will all, one day, be veterans (if they live).
Especially, please do not forget those who are disabled in connection with service to our beloved Country. Visit a veteran's service organization on line to see what you can do to help. May I suggest the American Legion, the DAV, the VFW, the TROA, or others? You might also wish to look at www.crlegislation.com to learn of an issue of particular concern to disabled retirees at this time.
Thanks.

THANK YOU to all of our VETS and in memory of all those who have died.......... If you are so inclined, visit the Department of Defense web page below and sign a brief message thanking the men and women of the U.S. military services for defending our freedom. The compiled list of names will be sent out to our military members at the end of the month. So far, there are only about 952, 237 names. What a shame. National Military Appreciation Month (please pass it on to your email friends) <> takes 10 seconds...literally.
