Coop, this is a great article. If I were a Democrat (and I have the ability to look at things in a non-Republican manner, as you and other election junkies here at FR can) I'd be depressed over how this will turn out. It's hard to come up with any good reasons why Mary can win this. Being able to send in people like Rod Paige and Laura Bush and others to stump for Terrell is something Mary can't counter.

The Democrats are in mourning and don't have the heart for this fight. I wouldn't either, frankly.

Talent and Coleman ended Mary's chances Tuesday night. It's that simple really.

Let's not overlook resources here, either. The GOP is presumably still in much better shape financially than the Dems, before the inevitable Prez and VP fundraising swings. Do the Dems want to spend untold millions to maybe hang onto one more seat in the minority? I dunno.
