I agree, Harold Ford Jr. is one of the "few" democrats that I have ever heard speak anything sensible. Too bad he is likely to be afraid of such a move. The black or minority population have democratic slaves for many decades and it's time for them to get free!!

I was afraid he might get the post. He is inteligent, well spoken and would have been a good face for the dims. Thank G-d they picked that wackjob Pelosi.

Yeah. Ford is one of the FEW democrats, when faced with facts will actually think about them. It's too bad he didn't go out and really make it in the real world before joining politics. He'd prolly be a Republican. It would be good for republicans if he got the job. And move the democrats away frm their pathetic new deal/great society programs which have failed time and time again.

I grew up in Memphis, and Ford is not at all conservative, however, he is very bright, communicates well, and presents a solid image...however, he is anti-GOP.
