Mansoor Ijaz: Major Al Qaeda Attacks Expected in Weeks

A Pakistani-American businessman who helped negotiate a deal turned down by the Clinton administration for Osama bin Laden's extradition to the U.S. said late Saturday that the terror chief's al Qaeda network is planning to launch major attacks on the U.S. and two other countries by the end of the month.

Asked about a report by Interpol this week that warned: "All intelligence experts are agreed that al Qaeda is preparing a major terrorist operation," Mansoor Ijaz told Fox News Channel's "Foxwire," "Within the next two to three weeks I think we're going to be looking at something pretty tough."

"We should be worried," Ijaz told "Foxwire" host Rita Cosby. "This is almost identical to the information I have.... I've been told there's going to be three simultaneous attacks; it will be three different continents."

Ijaz said the the U.S. and United Kingdom would be "primary targets," while the Far East or India would likely be the third target.

Where was InterPol & Mansoor on September 10, 2001?

Isn't Mansoor the guy that set up some deal that would have had Osama handed over to us on a silver platter years ago, only to have Bill Clinton ignore the offer because he found the subject matter too boring?

He's a serious guy. A PhD in nuclear physics.

Hey, I'm a big fan of Ijaz's, but let's not go down this road. Jimmy Carter did at least masters-level nuclear physics too. ;)

Ijaz (the same guy who did indeed tell Bubba's admin repeatedly about the offer from the Sudanese to deliver UBL up on a platter) was on FOX & friends Friday talking about this, and I'm still wondering why, if these suspicions are really out there, they haven't raised the alert level. Like to plaid if it might really be this bad.

No problem with that, except I think we do more damage to Qaeda if we go after the Yemenis and Saudis.

I actually like the guy.

I've seen and heard him several times shortly after 9-11. He is the only Muslim I can recall actually condemning the terrorists.

On one program he was asked if he was the 'victim' of profiling in his extensive travelling. He said that the extra caution securtiy guard paid him was fine with him, he understood and called upon all M.E. appearing people to lighten up.

If all muslims were like him, we wouldn't have a problem.

I would take this guy seriously. I've seen him on FOX, and he seems to know exactly what he is talking about.

According to Sam Cohen former President Bush totally eliminated the supply of tactical nukes.

Go figure.

Ok, 117 posts and no one has discredited this yet or screamed they needed a series shower.

This does not make me happy.

Mansoor Ijaz has always seemed very credible to me too.

Stare at this for a minute. The message says, "This is next." What is a common thread among Americans? Religion? Nope. Food? Not really. Coffee? Nope. What?

We all get mail. Just as 911 is a meaningful sequence of numbers to every American, the message "you've got mail" -- whether it's online email or postal -- is (especially for AOL users in the millions) just as pervasive in our society. I hope to God I'm wrong.
