How does CFR ty into donating to this campaign?

I was told that this election (which is the extension of the Nov.5th election) does not fall under finance reform rules. I saw your post yesterday and then heard someone on TV say that this did not fall under CFR. Where did you get your information?

Interestingly, CFR has no impact on the Louisiana runoff. I knew the CFR law had an effective date of 6 November. But I don't have and hadn't read, the entire text.

An alert FReeper pointed out to me that the "effective date" clause which exempts from CFR any "runoff of an election conducted before that date [6 November]." So the old rules still apply to this one, last, election.

The old rules would also apply, logically, to the aftermath of other elections, including raising money for the examinations of fraud, legal fees, etc., in South Dakota, since that is all part of "an election conducted before 6 November."
