Sunday Nov. 10, 2002; 2:10 p.m. EST McAuliffe Relative Got Millions While Senate Dems Went Begging

In the wake of devastating Democratic Party defeats in last Tuesday's election, party faithful are complaining openly that Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe lost the U.S. Senate by making the defeat of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush his top priority - as questions swirl over whether McAuliffe's family ties played a role in questionable allocations of vital campaign cash.

In a development that was largely overlooked during the campaign, McAuliffe's father-in-law, Richard Swann, served as finance chairman for Bush's Democrat challenger Bill McBride, whose campaign benefited from record-breaking infusions of DNC cash during the closing weeks of the race. Meanwhile Democrats in close U.S. Senate races around the country went begging.

Bwahahaha!!!
The real reason they lost is because the American people are finally starting to come around and realize that Democrats don't give a flying flip about them.

If you follow the logic of John Mccain that more money equals more corruption then Mccaulife should be in jail right about now.

Another thing that is overlooked is that making revenge your primary motivator in such a high profile race is unseemly, to say the least. Bill, Hill and Terry openly stated that they wanted to defeat Jeb in order to embarrass GWB. Such vicious, unapologetic mean-spiritedness is a hallmark of the Clintons and achieved all the success that you would expect it to last Tuesday.

How bad did little terry screw up ?

Let's look at the numbers.
1) The democrat party doesn't have the White House.(1R-0d)
2) The democrat party lacks a majority in the Senate.(53R-47d)
3) The democrat party lacks a majority in the House of Representatives.(226R-209d)
4) The democrat party lacks a majority of Governors seats across the 50 states.(25R-25d)
5) The democrat party lacks a majority of State Houses across all 50 states. (25R-22d)
6) In total, the GOP won 51.6%, compared to 45% for the party formerly known as democrats.
Today's democrat party doesn't enjoy majority leadership at either the state or federal level.

What, a NewsMax title misleading!?!!? Yep, no mention of irregularities beyond that Terry's father in law was the finance chairman for McBride. That doesn't mean anything beyond McBridge's a numnut. Course it is a little suspicious and anytime you spend $15.7M on race there's going to be some missing money.

Make no mistake; Bill Clinton's pride is killing the democrat party. It's just too much for Clinton that Albert Gore lost the electon to George W. Bush.

The 2000 and 2002 losses go down as losses for Clinton. It's a part of written history for the (always) impeached former president.

McAuliffe's father-in-law, Richard Swann, served as finance chairman for Bush's Democrat challenger Bill McBride, whose campaign benefited from record-breaking infusions of DNC cash during the closing weeks of the race.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you, that someone has the sheer gall to intimate Terry McAuliffe might have done something crooked or underhanded. His father-in-law did perhaps the finest job of getting his candidate ready to answer the tough questions that anyone has ever done.

McBride: "So what do I say when they ask how we're going to pay for socialist day care and the unqualified teacher employment act, I mean, the class size amendment?"
Swann: "What? Oh, sorry, just, eh, balancing my checkbook here... hang on a sec. What now? Oh, how to answer that? Tell 'em that it's a cigarette tax or, you know, just do something. Can you leave me alone? I've got this man from Switzerland on the line about a new account, very important stuff for your campaign."
McBride: "Duh, okay, Mr. Swann. I'm gonna go grin like an idiot for awhile, okay?"
Swann: "Whatever. >to phone< No, no, don't put my name on it, I just want a numbered account. You people don't cooperate with the IRS, right?"

That's actually the strangest part. You'd think the lemmings would finally learn, but they don't. McAuliffe has been a Clinton-backed disaster, and if Marse Hillary finally runs for the presidency it will be even worse. We're not all voters from New York, y'know, and the Clinton act has become more than a little obvious. No matter how afraid the Dems may be of the Clintons, history should show them to bail out now.

Bill, Hill and Terry openly stated that they wanted to defeat Jeb in order to embarrass GWB.

Isn't that also why they had the DNC spend a lot of money on Ron Kirk's predictably losing campaign for the TX Senate seat?

Hmmm, I wonder why the media were indicating both those races would be close, right up until Election Day. Jeb ended up winning by 13 points, 56-43. Cornyn ended up winning by 12 points, 55-43. Were the media bending the news to fit what they knew the Clintons wanted?

Over 900 FBI files were "missing" until they were "found" on a coffe table in the West Wing two years later. The Democrats swallowed that whole baloney, even though the Republican Chuck Colsen received 18 months in prison for 1 missing FBI file in the Watergate years.

Hillary was on the Democratic Watergate commitee and help draft the statement that "the President should be above the very appearance of impropriety". Her husband as President went on to re-define impropriety, because he questioned what "is" even means. Never in American history have we been dragged through anything like the Starr Report, and that left out the most NATIONALLY important charges. Clinton flung Cruise missiles around every time his zipper got caught going south, and terrorists had every reason to think they could attack at will. The Chinese just loved Clinton and who knows how much we'll have to pay in the future for that.

Self-examination doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary, it's all a mafia-type thing, winner take all and to hell with the law, just keep screaming at the opponents and don't piss off the thugs from Arkansas.

When Stalin's lieutenants became convinced he was going to mount another purge in which they would probably die, they in effect killed him. After Stalin had his stroke, it seems to be confirmed history that Beria, supported by the Politburo, denied him the medical treatment that might have saved his life. Beyond that, however, there are rumors that Stalin's stroke was medically induced. Stalin's nurse was the sister of his lieutenant Kaganovich.

Stalin did "get his". Reading the conflicting accounts about his death is interesting. Trying to figure out how Beria was actually killed afterwards is even more confusing.

Still, this isn't the Soviet Union, 1953. The Clintons will drag down the Democrats though, and it will be a long series of messy, hysterical deathrows. Babs Streisand, Elinor Clift, the staff of the Washington Post, etc. - we'll never hear the end of it from them.
