No. I still have my 32" waist from 35 years ago.

And mine is 22" and has been for 25 years (except of course when I was pregnant) but the only thing that proves is I'm female and younger than you.

It is about the freedom to breathe smoke-free air.

As long as you stay out of places that permit tobacco smoking you have all the tobacco smoke-free air you want.

I'm curious about how you handle all the other types of smoke in the air?????

You should watch your context.

Do you also inform them that smoking stinks, is socially unacceptable to most in the US, kills with various cancers?

You are an unmitigated vicious piece of excrement.

Since cinFla's "arguments" are not based on fact or logic, using his/her "logic" (using the word veeeery loosely), we could decide everyone with a 31" waist or larger should be put in work camps, because they are so dangerous and offensive. Since it would be for their "own good", it would be ok to limit their freedom.(otherwise known as slavery)

Because if we can tell them what to do with THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTY, based on what WE WANT, then we can tell YOU WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR PROPERTY, right? That's called mob rule, not freedom.

BEAUTIFUL absolutely beautiful.

That's not very courteous, however true. Did you know that being courteous is one of the factors cinFla uses to determine how much freedom you should have? Don't offend the Smoking SS, their brittle dispositions can't take it.

Now there are two of you purporting that exposing kids to smoke is beneficial! Unbelievable!

I purported nothing - I just posted the information.

I do notice you chose to ignore my other comments - but that surprises me not - and you have told me all I need to know about you.

You are another brainwashed nico-nazi anti-smoker who refuses to be open to facts that don't support his own narrow little mind.

I'm so happy you and I will not be meeting anytime soon - if ever. GOOD-BYE

You must be kidding? Without private property rights, we have NO rights. If the state can tell you what to do with your property, then they CONTROL your property! Your ignorance on this issue is breathtaking. Or, you are just a fan of totalinarianism. Either way, you don't deserve the freedom you take for granted.

You hit the nail on the head. This poster was a major supporter of the Constitutional amendment in Florida to take away the rights of some private property owners to decide if they wanted to permit smoking in their private property - just so he wouldn't be offended by the smell if he someday chose to enter a particular establishment.

The saddest part is, they won't get it until the SS come for them. By then it will be too late.

BRAVO!!!!!!!!

I too work from home (don't make anything like 6 figs) and dress how I want and smoke when I want.

I can't hire anyone to work for me, becaue I would immediatley be forbidden from smoking in my home because of the new draconian law in Delaware - but that's OK - The unemployment rate in Delaware will not change because of me - I sure don't intend to help the numbers go down.

BTW, in countries like Irag or Zimbabwe for instance, all rights are secondary to the STATE'S rights. THAT is what you are supporting

I am supporting the US constitution, as if you cared. Sheesh, I am tired of reiterating this one. Seems like if you support states rights around here, ya'll think it is a dictatorship or rule by the mob!

Our Republic guarantees our personal FREEDOM, rights given to us by GOD, not the STATE.

Perhaps you should read the 10th amendment. If you can read.

So your opinion on limiting freedom is based on certain people being COURTEOUS? Good God! Do you have a logical REASON why we should limit freedom in this country,

We limit freedoms all the time because some people cannot be responsible. That is why we have laws!

I purported nothing - I just posted the information.

And I am not purporting anything either .. just posting information. As for your other comments, I can't keep up with my inbox so I may miss one or two. Only one fact really counts. Smoking kills and smokers stink.

Don't really need to, as there are more than enought "tut-tutters" readily available for that task. To answer your question, I did caution them that the addictive and destructive nature of tobacco and other substances have the ability to limit their liberty - on the one hand you are free to smoke a cigarette, on the other hand, habitual use can mean you are unable to not smoke one. Happily for me, both are non-smokers as adults.

Now a question for you. Do you truly not see the tyrannical nature of your position?

cinFla said, "We limit freedoms all the time because some people cannot be responsible. That is why we have laws!"

Now one ever accused you, cinFla, of being sharp. Since there will always be irresponsible people, forever, and the legislature will continue with the assistance of people like you cinFla, therefore we can expect a steady march of freedom limiting laws into an ever more authoritarian state. But as Bernard Shaw said to your statist hero, Michael Dukakis, "You just don't get it."
