...her transformation from bubble-gum, Mickey Mouse Club member to foul-mouthed vixen.

It should read...

...her transformation from long forgotten, bubble-gum, ex-Mickey Mouse Club member to foul-mouthed vixen a performer who has a job rather than an old, tattered scrap-book.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the slutty character she's created is a good one. Nor am I saying that this is ultimately what's in her best interest. ("What does it profit a man if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul?") What I am saying is that we, as a society, simply won't support an aging teen star. It isn't what sells because we won't buy it. Thus if we're not going to pay someone like Aguilera or Spears to continue with the teen idol character, we shouldn't be upset when they try a marketing approach that we will buy. Don't expect these girls to sell what we refuse to buy.

Christina has a good voice, she has a Grammy and really doesn't need to do this..same with Leann.

But in order to sell millions upon millions of records you need 'buzz,' hype and controversy.

If this was Britney or Shania I could understand but for singers who are actually talented to start doing this is a bad sign.
