When I lived in Italy, the street vendors and stores were loaded with religious items for Christmas [well, actually the Feast of Epiphany]. Of course, if you happened to leave anything in your car while shopping, like say the radio, there was a good chance it wouldn't be there when you returned.

Europe although very secular is very respectful of Christmas. Much more than we are. Interesting complexity!
