Europe, although very secular is very respectful of CHRISTIANITY. Most of Europe is Christian. Look at Ireland and Italy (predominantly Catholic) Britian, Germany, Austria (Protestantism and Catholicism prevail) The Greeks are Orthodox. I'm surprised at your surprise.

I read somewhere once; that in Italy, they have so many nativity and religious displays around; that little children and young people enjoy looking at them as much as seeing Santa Claus!
