Not to worry, that the liberal-leftists may trot out a brilliant and attractive spokesperson for their side. If capable of intelligent discourse, not attractive; if attractive, dumber than a box of rocks. Here is their dilemma - Beautiful people are ornaments, and therefore to be kept away from brutal and bruising engagements, that may in any way damage their serene advocacy of unearned esteem, and the warrior types must be kept with their fighting edge keenly honed, leaving no time for personal vanities. But alas, all the warqueens have aged, and become viragos, and the idealized beauties are often as not, of simply confused sexuality, mere shadows of real people lacking altogether of any substance.

Wonder how many times Gephardt said "Yes, Barbara, you're right, Barbara. I agree. "

Hmm... just read the Times piece. It's a by-lined op-ed. Just like Anne's. It's not the official position of the newspaper.

Fantastic quote!

That's it! Thank you!

And Ann was actually more kind to this article than it deserved. While she focused on the hypocrisy which was inherent, and the inadvertant admission of a lack of patriotism, she didn't really point out that this was a broadside at Fox on a great many fronts.

Nor was there much neutrality shown between George Bush and the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. After the Norwegians – who gave us the term "quisling" – awarded former President Jimmy Carter the Peace Prize citing his vocal opposition to President Bush's war policies, the press sprang to action. The whole chorus began calling this comically inept president one of America's "greatest." Good Morning America's Charles Gibson said Carter had "become, in the opinion of many, the greatest ex-president of modern times."

MSNBC's Brian Williams – who worked for Carter – asked a history professor if it was fair to call Carter "the best former president in, at minimum, modern American history, and perhaps, well, I guess, the last 200 years?" (Absolutely, historian Marshall Frady replied.) On the "Today" show, Katie Couric said: "I mean, it's so wonderful ... and so well-deserved."...

So it's interesting that the Times viewed Ailes' letter as an affront to objective journalism.

None of these people work for the NY Times. I don't understand why she's citing them as evidence that the NY Times has not been neutral in the war. I don't think they have, but couldn't she have cited examples from the Times? Ann owes it to readers not to be lazy in reporting.

It occurs to me the Gray Lady is scandalized by the brains behind FOX NEWS having expressed a verboten opinion to the President of the United States. Now if Roger Ailes had sent a memo criticizing the President, as night follows day, the New York Times would be singing him hosannas. Roger's unforgivable offense was to be a proud American. The clymers of our media find that to be unbearable. Ann's written another knock-out-of-the-ballpark article and the best thing Mullah Howell Raines and his staff could do is do a Baldwin or Harrelson and move to London. No one will miss one bit their faux patriotism and contempt for our great country and the wonderful people in it, especially people like Roger who've sent the liberal media reeling. No wonder the Great Gray Lady is ranting hysterically about a memo scandal that not only doesn't reflect anything unfavorable on Roger's character, but to the contrary, which calls that of the establishment's press's objectivity into question. Ann just showed up the NYT to the world for what it truly is.
