Protesters circled through downtown Sacramento Wednesday singing songs of peace.

Marchers carried flags and peace symbols and chanted, "No blood for oil." One police officer was sent to make sure the 65 protesters kept in line and didn't hold up traffic.

These creeps are at 16th & J every Tuesday from like 4 to 6. What say we freep them next week? Lager and I have a lovely Israeli flag to fly in their faces. BTW - they're not all that peaceful, this group, but they sure deserve to be freeped and we need not be intimidated, especially now we know they're just a bunch of old decrepid folks. LOL! I'll post a thread about a freep in a few days. For victory & freedom!!!

Keep up the good work! I'm age 47 and I am embarassed by these over the hill retreads myself. I even heard the otehr day that a bunch of women made a peace sign in the nude in Marin County....and many of them weren't youngsters either! These people have no sense on either time or reality.

WAR, WHATEVER

Bush aide: Inspections or not, we'll attack Iraq

Exclusive By Paul Gilfeather, Whitehall Editor

GEORGE Bush's top security adviser last night admitted the US would attack Iraq even if UN inspectors fail to find weapons.

Dr Richard Perle stunned MPs by insisting a "clean bill of health" from UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix would not halt America's war machine.

Evidence from ONE witness on Saddam Hussein's weapons programme will be enough to trigger a fresh military onslaught, he told an all- party meeting on global security.

Former defence minister and Labour backbencher Peter Kilfoyle said: "America is duping the world into believing it supports these inspections. President Bush intends to go to war even if inspectors find nothing.

"This make a mockery of the whole process and exposes America's real determination to bomb Iraq."

Dr Perle told MPs: "I cannot see how Hans Blix can state more than he can know. All he can know is the results of his own investigations. And that does not prove Saddam does not have weapons of mass destruction."

The chairman of America's defence policy board said: "Suppose we are able to find someone who has been involved in the development of weapons and he says there are stores of nerve agents. But you cannot find them because they are so well hidden.

"Do you actually have to take possession of the nerve agents to convince? We are not dealing with a situation where you can expect co-operation."

Mr Kilfoyle said MPs would be horrified at the admission. He added: "Because Saddam is so hated in Iraq, it would be easy to find someone to say they witnessed weapons building.

"Perle says the Americans would be satisfied with such claims even if no real evidence was produced.

"That's a terrifying prospect."

-BRITON Jack Roche, 49, a Muslim convert who claims to have met Osama bin Laden, has been charged in Australia with plotting to bomb the Israeli embassy in Canberra and a consulate in Sydney.

Oh, well, BOMB IRAQ anyway! For victory & freedom!!!

Oh, heck, someone bring along a *BOMB HANOI* flag or poster too. Even if they don't deserve it as much at present, just the sight of it should get the aging hippies frothing at the mouth.

Saundra, you wrote: "These creeps are at 16th & J every Tuesday from like 4 to 6. What say we freep them next week?"

God knows we've tried Saundra. Sadly, many of our area conservatives, were for the most part, a no-show! Our little band of folks even showed up to support Freeper notaliberal at Arden Mall's Anti-Everything Crowd protest in the same week. Unfortunately, we seem to suffer from the "Apathy Syndrome" here in Sacramento.  I ran into Notaliberal during the voter registration on 911. She left FR for many of the same reasons I've been posting less these days.  You know that's true of even the GOP "paid staffers" here in CA.  Freepers need to get back to basics. We seem to spend more time attacking our own than the enemy! The most recent item sent me by farmfriend illustrates that even more. See: Free Republic mentioned in "Chronicles" magazine article. Chronicles, A Magazine of American Culture ^ | Dec 1, 2002 | Sean Scallon Posted on 11/21/2002 0:16 AM PST by Marine Inspector

What troubles me most is the nearly 350 posts attacking the messenger rather than the message. Further, if all that energy was focused on the media and politicians rather than one of our own, maybe we wouldn't have lost California again this year.

That Said... We'll do it again if somebody cares!

Taking Back the Memorial Auditorium from Antiwar protesters!

The Veteran's Memorial Auditorium: There is a dedication to those killed in war, inscribed in marble at the front of the Memorial Auditorium. It reads: "This building is dedicated to those who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the United States."

This historic and living tribute to our soldiers opened in 1927 on a block donated by Sacramento city founder John Sutter and dedicated to Sacramentans who died in war. An honor roll listing Sacramentans killed in battle from the Spanish American War through Persian Gulf War is housed in a room adjacent to the main lobby. We pray no new names of fellow Sacramentans who will be engaged in Operation Enduring Freedom will be added to this honor roll of veterans in Sacramento.

Many veteran and their supporters suggest anti-war protests on these hallowed ground desecrate and insult the men and women of our armed forces this grand building represents. Thankfully, this small band of protesters represent only a small percentage of the U.S. population but provide media capital to our enemies abroad.

To them we say: "Know this... we will be a constant reminder of America's majority voice at every opportunity!"

I just hope that everyone in favor of bombing Iraq would be equally in favor of personally bayonetting an Iraqui soldier themselves.

Or is war only good so long as all we have to do is cheer on somebody else who is willing to do our killing for us?
