What a bunch of (sadly, a big bunch) fundamentalist assholes want to do with the world is another story.

The problem is that you don't hear any of the major islamic leaders decrying these actions or speaking out against the people that do them.
The silence is deafening and tars the entire religon with one brush.
If the major islamic leaders don't want to be associated with these "fundamentalist assholes" they should say so instead of saying nothing at all.

This silence on their part sure tells us a lot.

Either

• Islamic leaders are afraid of what the more violent Islamicists will do to them if they speak out (Not a pretty picture)

or

• Islamic leaders support (or are neutral to) the actions of violent Islamicists (again, not a pretty picture).
