[history]
A group of tech-savvy ranchers in Arizona are using military technology to monitor and apprehend illegal immigrants crossing the border from Mexico into the United States.
Members of the group have spiked their land with thousands of motion sensors. They also use infrared tracking devices, global positioning systems, night vision goggles, radar and other gear to survey movement near the border.

"The governor of the Mexican state of Sonora said in a statement on Wednesday that he will ask the U.S. government to stop "vigilante groups who are hunting" for immigrants along the border."
We are a truly sick world when patriots guarding a national border are targeted for criminalization. May God grant that the Mexican authorities are told to pound sand.
Sadly, recent experience doesn't give me the greatest confidence...

The governor of the Mexican state of Sonora
Solution: Annex Sonora, make it a new US state, impose US laws and taxes. Problem solved--Sonorans will no longer be illegals, but they will be Americans.

Problem DEFERRED. The Mexicans in the neighboring states to Sonora would jump the fence...
Peace-loving, hard-working, God-fearing Mexicans should stay in their country and work for change as we did 200 years ago. Problem solved.

The governor of the Mexican state of Sonora said in a statement on Wednesday that he will ask the U.S. government to stop "vigilante groups who are hunting" for immigrants along the border. As long as they aren't "hunting" them in Sonora, it is a little out of his jurisdiction. Does he think that the presence of illegals gives him a degree of power in our country?
Here's a deal, Gov.: you keep your people in Mexico, and we'll stop detecting them and sending them back. Easy, huh? Let's keep our "neighbors" to the south in the south.

Looks like private property rights, and laws against illegal invasion are bumping head on into the lawlessness of the globalists in D.C.
This really should be a line in the sand for patriotic Americans.

Maybe the border guards and INS can take a clue from these people. Instead of putting many thousands/millions to guard the borders, use these sensors, GPS, infrared and other technologies to secure the borders.

True patriots! We need more men like them down near the border...

This is bullsh!t! When is the governor going to insist that 'church' groups helping illegals cross the border be stopped too? I say give the geeks MORE territory to cover.

"Solution: Annex Sonora"
Not Annex, simply tell the illegals, as they are getting booted back across the border (or before they are turned in to the INS):
If you want to come to America, apply for statehood.
If the Mexicans really want the opportunities that the USA provides rather than a free ride, they can bring their resources/real estate with them. That goes for Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon or Baja California.
At least the people of those states would receive an immediate boost to their standard of living due to the imposition of minimum wage.

The sad part is that we in the Army showed INS how effective these tools are nearly 15 years ago. That they're not being used is evidence of a bureaucracy at it's best.

hunting" for immigrants along the border. I see the "huntees" have morphed from Ilegal Aliens to Undocumented Workers to Illegal Immigrants now they are "immigrants"?

That euphemistic B.S. is clogging the lexicon. "Immigrant" should refer only to a person who has gone to the trouble of coming to this country *legally*. If you skirt the legal process, you should be referred to as "Illegal Alien". Sure, they may be coming here to work without proper documentation, but that does not alter their status as aliens.
I'm looking forward to seeing the described website, though I have a feeling that the government would "object vigorously" to any site that shows illegal border-crossings in real time. If that website actually launches, it will stir up a real sh!tstorm.

I've been following this for years, and have actually spent a week on the border to see for myself. It is a much worse situation than you see described in the press.
At some point this is going to come down to a showdown between the property owners and the govt. I just hope that these guys have the guts to stand against the govt and the illegals, and I hope that true Americans will come to their defense. I know I will.
I would challenge everyone to donate a few days or weeks to the defense of this country by going and standing watch on the border. If not for Ranch Rescue or American Patrol, there are many other landowners who can use the help. This is something that you as a private citizen can do to make a descernable difference without going through the elephant of govt bureaucracy.
The feeling you will get inside is priceless.

Imagine that.... some blowhard Mexican government crook demanding that the authorities interfere with the rights of American citizens on private property to enable his invading countrymen to sneak in and wreak further havoc on our country. Like Tancredo, I want to know why the military isn't on the borders right now stopping Mexicans and others from sneaking in here.
BTW, for those who missed Tancredo on O'Reilly last night, you can listen to the segment online (click here).
