Listen live as Hugh tries to frame the debate away from any solution that is practical as he suggests that "priorities" need to be made rather than attempt to solve the whole problem. Hugh says those priorities are the Canadian border and the ports. Michelle says that would leave a swamp undried out, Mexico.

To be honest and transparent, there is only one thing I don't like about Michelle Malkin:
She is married.

And there is only one thing I don't like about Professor Hewitt:
He's a lot smarter than I am.

But fortunately, I'm at least smart enough to listen to both of them.

Thanks for the ping, RonDog. I heard part of the show, plus Michelle was on Al Rantel this evening. I think people have to separate the two issues currently being addressed: 1. securing the borders for all reasons, dangerous and otherwise. 2. President Bush's proposal of amnesty to those who are ALREADY here and working. This is a separate issue. Illegal immigrants are, by current laws, eligible for just about every benefit in the book. They need to be pinned down, and in the tax system like everyone else. Deporting everyone who, as President Bush stipulates, are gainfully employed, is not feasible or realistic.
