Descendant of several General Floyd's of Georgia in various wars. Descendant of a family that owned slaves on a plantation that is now Kings Bay Naval Submarine Station. Almost all my ancestors migrated here prior to the War for Independence. Angry African American my a**!

Since you are obviously historically illiterate, let me inform you of who Hermann the Cherusker was. He was the Germanic prince who defeated Varus and his legions at the battle of the Teutoburger Wald in AD 9. Because of Hermann, we speak English today. Why would a black have such a handle?

Why don't you get over it and admit that you are prejudiced. Every white I've ever met is, and so are most blacks. I am. I want my grandchildren to be white. I don't want to live in a mostly black neighborhood, or have my kids go to a mostly black school. How terrible of me. There's no hatred involved, I just want to be among my own.

If everyone else was honest enough to admit what they really feel about race, instead of pussyfooting around pretending they are unbiased, America would be much better off.

OK, I think anyone who considers skin tone important is a dumbass. So I guess "race" matters a little bit after all.

Because YOU are admittedly predjudiced, you assume that everyone else is; or should be.Are you certain that YOU are a Conservative and belong on this forum ?

There aren't any blacks, living around me, now; however, having lived most of my life in big cities ( Manhattan & Chicago ), I have lived in neighborhoods, where, IF you could afford to live in them, it didn't matter what your race was. In Chicago, you had a far more difficult time getting into certain clubs, if you were a Jew, married to a Jew, or your great grandparents had been Jews, than if you were black. As to schools, my daughter went to THE finest private schools , and yes, some of her classmates were black. Some were of Asian descent, and in boarding school, some were Asians, some were Europeans, some were South Americans, and some were just Americans...of various races , religions, regions. She had and has friends from ALL of those groups; as do her father and I.

Since my daughter is married to an African ( Afrikaner ), my future grandchildren are going to be able to call themselves " AFRICAN - AMERICANS " , on PC aapplications and that makes me laugh my socks off! :-)

I am the mother of four black children, my husband and I are white. I do, to some extent agree with you. People tend to be more comfortable among their own kind. Black, Yellow, and White. There are those of us who break boundaries. But on the whole the most comfortable is the most familiar. I do not necessarily think that this is a bad thing. I agree that it should be recognized and named.

I agree. But most prefer not to bring the wrath of the PC Gestapo, so they lie or keep their opinions to themselves. Would I be happy to see my daughter date a Negro? I'd give you an honest answer but I prefer to keep my posting privileges on this forum.

Ok, than I should correct what I said since I see where you are getting at. YES, I would PREFER that my child chooses someone of the same heritage with which to marry, but as long as she meets a good Christian man, that PREFERENCE becomes a lot less important. To me a racist is someone who would actively discourage their child from an already blossoming, positive relationship with someone of another race. I do not qualify. I do qualify if it means that if I had my choice I would choose someone of Germanic or Irish decent, who is a Christian and believes that the Lord's supper is more than a symbol, and who has no objections to taking a leadership role as oulined in the Bible in his family. If preference is deemed as racist, than I guess I am.
