Only this time, the message is different.

''The Mayans have a level of purity in their lives that let them see some things with more clarity

In other words, they live in abject poverty and total ignorance of the world beyond their village.

So they want to move from 19th century to the 15th century? The civilized world ought to show video of the real life inside a muslim country.

"The group was founded by Shaykh Abdalqadir as-Sufi, a Scotsman who is an outspoken critic of global capitalism and democracy."

Ack! and Double Ack! Sounds very spritual, don't he?

If we go by the patterns it has drawn on the map of the world, Islam's "enabling conditions" appear to be:
  1. A low general intelligence (e.g., the mean IQ of the Muslim Middle East is around 85, and the mean IQ of sub-Saharan Africa is around 70),
  2. Economic and cultural backwardness,
  3. A sense of having been unfairly denied what one is due,
  4. A desire, actualized or not, to strike out.

It appears that all these conditions are met in the Islam-susceptible regions in Mexico.

I really have a hard time believing that Islam will ever make many inroads into Mexico. For one Mexicans like to have fun ---they party, they drink, they dance, they flirt, they aren't going to rampage over attractive women.

'...Aureliano Perez and Esteban Lopez, followers of the strict Murabitun school of Islam who arrived in San Cristobal in 1995.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I would like to know more about these two and who backs them. I don't think trying to make inroads into Mexico by exploiting the ultra poor in specific regions is a coincidence.
[Before we dismiss this as an unlikely threat, I would caution everyone to look at Indonesia and certain nation states of Africa where ignorance and poverty has seemed to be the perfect breeding ground for the rapid rise of radical Islam.
They do not need to completely take over Mexico to build a dangerous army of zealots in our own backyard - just outside of our reach.]
