Lndrieu didn't like that much.

Now Landrieu said that Terrell is a negative campaigner and brought up some old quotes from Foster.

Terrell on abortion: "I did not leave my faith as did my opponent." Zing!

Landrieu is weaseling and doing the Dem doubletalk...

Terrell's ripping Landrieu pretty well.

Landrieu's absent-mindingly forgetting she ran a negative ad calling Terrell a corrupt politician. How convenient.

"This is your last campaign."

Funny thing about this statement. Even if it were true, it doesn't mean Terrell won't win.

Landrieu's closing statement was pretty lame, just a repeat of what she said earlier: "I'm on this committee, I'm on that committee, blah blah blah..." Little Mary forgets that what WAS, won't necessary WILL BE with the new sheriffs in town. Plus, regardless of what committees she would or would not be on, she'd STILL BE IN THE MINORITY!

Terrell's statement about being elected to do a job (election commissioner) and then doing that job was well-spoken. Overall, I didn't hear any knockout punches, but I thought Terrell did very well, and got in some good (and well-deserved) shots against the lib. All Landrieu does, like all Dems, is quote the party mantra, and we all saw how well that played on November 5th!

I hope everyone hears about Landrieu's off-camera insult, and that it gets played up bigtime. Hee-hee...

Looking forward to Senator Terrell!

After a tense 30-minute segment finished taping at WDSU's studios in New Orleans, the two candidates were preparing to leave. According to witnesses, Landrieu looked over her shoulder and told Terrell, "This is your last campaign."

A stunned Terrell replied, "She threatened me."

If played right, this arrogant and ungracious comment by Landrieu could be her death knell. Recall how Hillary played up the Lazio paper waving as a threat to great advantage--some commentators likened it to the brandishing of a gun.

The arrogance and mean tone of the Wellstone rally was a turning point in that race.

Landrieu broke one of the cardinal rules of campaigning--don't give voters a strong reason to come out and vote AGAINST you.

Landrieu's attacking Bush.
She's going on how Bush has failed blacks, poor, working class people.

LOFL!!!
Bush has been in there for less than two years. The toon had eight years to make life "fair" for the oppressed victim / loser class. Buh-bye, Mary.

C-SPAN schedule lists a portion of this debate as being re-aired at 6:25 PM Eastern time and at 9:34 PM Eastern time tonight.

Note however that the debate and a speech by Sen. John Edwards (D-ATLA*) are both playing during about a 1 and 1/2 hour block. It is unclear whether Edwards speech or the debate will come first.

When the broadcast time comes, you can watch C-SPAN on TV or you can click here to watch or listen to CSpan 1 & then choose whether you want video or just audio and choose between Windows Media Player or RealPlayer.

Click here to donate to the Terrell campaign. Read the notice & click on "proceed to donate" at the bottom. They now can receive online contributions via credit card.

(*ATLA = American Trial Lawyers Assoc.)

'A Landrieu spokesman, Rich Masters, said the comment wasn't a threat, but a prediction that after running such a negative campaign, Terrell would no longer be viable as a candidate in Louisiana.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This is a pretty lame explanation for that comment.
She didn't say 'You'll never win' or something like that.
I think it was an interesting choice of words and I would have taken 'This is your last campaign' as a threat, too.

I just emailed the source link to Drudge.

Crossing fingers now in anticipation of seeing it on his site soon...

Yesh, you're right. She may become so popular that it won't be necessary for her to campaign in the future.

I believe that Landruei smells death - her own political death. This is what has her so panicky. Lets hope it turns out well for Suzie and that all my (wishful?) thinking bears fruit.

I heard this on TV last night and was stunned. It is outrageous for Mary Landrieu to make such a statement, and Suzie has every reason to interpret this as a threat. But after all, Mary is a RAT, so maybe can't expect any more of her. However, I don't believe that the people of Louisiana will tolerate such outrageous behavior from a Senatorial candidate. We're going to vote in record numbers for Suzie Terrell, our Senatorial candidate who espouses true Louisiana values. Suzie will work with Pres. Bush for the benefit of Louisiana and our nation.

Congratulations, gbuch! It's great that Drudge has featured this article so prominently, even with a photo of Mary. I sent an email to Rush and referred him to Drudge on this issue. Hope he talks about it on his radio show tomorrow. I think this issue is made to order for Rush!
