This election, Louisiana is at a crossroads. The US senate has a slim pro-2nd amendment majority. There is a lot in stake here for gunowners, sportsmen, and sportswomen, and we must closely examine our public officials' positions on our issues.
Suzanne Haik Terrell, candidate for US Senate here in Louisiana, stands up for the Second Amendment. Mary Landrieu, her opponent, is a Anti-Second Amendment.
* Landrieu voted for to ban gun shows by enforcing a three day waiting period on all gun show sales by private sellers. (May 20, 1999 - source Congressional record)
* Landrieu voted against defeating an amendment by Gun ban extremist Dianne Feinstein that would ban the importation of 11 round magazines. (7/28/1998 - Congressional record)
* Landrieu voted against a ban on charging gunowners a fee for background checks. (7/21/1998)

* She pledges to fight more restrictions on gun owners and gun purchasers.

I had a similar letter out for the governors race signed by two state representatives. If you can get a well known pro-gunner to sign this, then it will be even more effective.
