My son does. It's the Allied Assault version, I think.

I have MOHAA, but I find it too laggy and the gameplay is somewhat dull. The single player MOHAA is very good (trying to get up the beach at D-Day utterly freaked me out the first time I played it; my wife was laughing at me because I was literally hunched down as low as I could go in my chair, getting lower and lower till I was almost at keyboard level). I love the gameplay of the Half-Life mod "Day of Defeat", even though the graphics engine is outdated. But I am having a real blast playing the demo of "Battlefield 1942". I go by the online name of "Grunt", so if you see me in a game, ask if I'm a Freeper, it'll probably be me.

I play counter-strike on LAN here at the college, but I can't get online cause our connection is too "noisy" and laggy.

I have it, although I'm playing through "Conflict: Desert Storm" on the hardest setting right now.

I play Day of Defeat all the time, have you seen the latest version?
Really nice graphics, much higher quality. Just be sure you are running Open GL or equiv.
You might see me on there.

Don't talk to me about that game. I'm playing Frontline now on the XBox and I don't like it. Really I
don't like it. It is fun to play but the episodes range so much in finish time you don't know if you're sitting down to play for 10 minutes or 30 minutes. Make them all one or the other
I have to admit the real life footage is pretty good and somewhat informative. Too bad most kids that play it will skip right over it

Somewhat. I've got some friends that are deep into gaming (the kind that leave their wives watching TV or asleep while they play until 5 in the morning types). Me, I'm a fringe player, I see a game I like and I will pick it up for the computer or the XBox. Have done some gaming online, not much though. I'm not much on MOH though. First party firing games have never really been my style. Baldur's Gate, true RPGs, that's what I love. Still doing some study work on Linux and the links you've provided have helped a lot. Thanks
