Gay sex in park 'worse' despite arrests

Prince William County residents near Conway Robinson State Park say that homosexual men continue to go there for public sex, despite the recent sentencing of more than 50 people arrested in stings during the summer.

"I think it's worse than it was before," said Deedee Schaeffer, co-owner of a diner near the 400-acre, unstaffed reserve on Route 28 in Manassas. "They're just slapping them on the wrists."

There is a part of Griffith Park in Los Angeles where men park up and down a certain section, and wait for others to approach....when they make their connection, they either hop in the car together, or walk up behind some brush for action. Some coworker told me about it....and I didnt believe until seeing men parked there every time I drove by. I don't understand why there isnt a crackdown.

Even worse, I saw this car from someone I know in the neighborhood there once!

Why do gay men like sex in parks/public bathrooms? Is it the 'ditiness" of it that turns them on? Like the pop singer who got caught you would thik he could of hired someone in the privacy of his own home yet he cose a public toilet to get his jollies?

Arrested for homosexual sex in public? What's with that? Don't these cops know that homosexuals are judged by diferent standards? Don't they know that public sex is part of their "culture"? As is sex with young boys? Don't they remember the precident set here in Milwaukee with Jeffery Dahlmer and his 14 yr old drugged "lover" (whom he later killed and ate)? Gezz, what is with these cops out east? At least the courts have the right idea; just a slap on the (limp) wrist!

Folks, don't expect the queers to conform to our standards; they always get a pass. A hetro couple doing the exact same thing would get much harsher penalties. Just like prostitution laws are enfoced heavily in "straight" areas, while in "queer" areas it is ignored.

I don't believe I've ever seen any real libertarians condoning sex in public (whether straight or gay) though for some reason people like to accuse libertarians of doing precisely that.

There are some here, however, who see the existence of straights who insist upon having sex in public as a reason that they should restrict homosexual activities even when they are performed in private.

I was just going to mention Griffith Park ... I'm in Los Feliz, just south of the park. It's BAD. Even if some unsuspecting person just wants to get out of the car and look at the view I would caution against it. There are used condoms all over the ground. And a walk just a few feet into the brush you will run into these creeps.

When AIDS came along the public bath houses (utliized by gays for anonymous sex) closed down ... or were forceably closed down. As a result these public spots have sprung up. There is no question in my mind that such behavior is illegal in fact George Michael got busted for it) but in our PC culture, local authorities don't want to be seen as picking on or singling out gays.
