Make sure you go to the link and read the rest. I agree with what Dr. Vazsonyi has to say on the matter. You can also go back to the index and read some other articles. Of particular note...the similarities between the Nazis and Communists and the Left...and the misrepresentations of Nazism with those principled in the Right.

OK, how about instead of "liberals", we call them "leftist psychopaths"??

I'm glad to see an article on this topic. The left managed to hijack the dictionary with their control of the media.

Of the many intellectual crimes committed against the young, two deserve special attention. One has to do with students who represent the first generation in their respective families to attend college.

The first indictment of the left. I attended college after 4 years in the Army while still in the Army. The communist drivel that was being taught to my juniors was appalling. I knew enough to keep my mouth shut till I passed the course.

David Horowitz has been explaining for years, the only things the Left is liberal about is Sex and Drugs. He has stated in his Political War manuals that conservatives have been villified by the terms Right and Christian Right. We have to fight back and say, "My colleague from the Left Barney Frank" or "I refer to what my opponent on the Far Left, Maxine Waters said..." They aren't liberals, they're leftists.

An incisive article that requires a full reading.

In a nutshell, Nazis = Liberals, and today's Liberals stand not in the stead of American tradition, culture and law but the intellectual underpinnings of Marx and Hegel.

Truer words were never written, nor (these days) probably more ignored!

Hitler tells us how important it is, "...not to divide the attention of the people, but to concentrate that attention on a single enemy...it is part of the genius of a great leader...

And thus, white males were designated as the "New Jews".

And therefore, we would be less trouble disarmed.

Hayek, in his book, " Road to Serfdom " wrote about this - he did not see any or much difference between Nazism and Communism. BTW, it is one of the best books I have ever read and I highly recommed Hayek to everyone(but most of you would already know this by now). If I am not mistaken, Hannah Arendt, in her book " The Origins of Totalitarianism", comes to the same conclusion too.

I've always said that there's no one more close-minded than an "open-minded liberal"

That's it, lets start using the nice PC language of the left so no one is insulted.
This is why the phrase "undocumented immigrant" is used instead of the correct term "illegal alien".

"The political wisdom of American voters may have provided timely relief from the pressures which had already built to danger levels along the fault lines. The field on which the debate occurs could now be leveling, but Dogmatists are still setting the terms of the debate, the verbal agenda in the battle for America's soul.

As difficult as this may be to digest, the ideology which stands for failure, suffering and death, and has shown nothing but contempt for all humanity, still possesses the capacity to represent itself as good, fair, loving and caring. This is why it is urgent to clear away the layers of misconception and disinformation which have come to hide the true foundations of so-called Liberalism in America. In this process, I chose to emphasize the connections with the Third Reich for a reason: Academia may have managed to legitimize Lenin, but no one in American public life, or in his right mind, would knowingly align himself with Hitler..

Other than that feeble ray of hope, the author does not offer any definitive way to reverse the trend. Does that mean we are doomed to repeat the history of those nations who never had any idea of what true liberty and individual freedom were? Is the latter enough to stem the tide of PC BS now engulfing the country? Will the good citizens finally tell the American left, including the main stream press, the corrupt judiciary and the declining education establishment that enough is enough?

It's very hard to reclaim words once they are corrupted. Do you think that feeling "gay and frolicsome" will ever again have the innocent meaning it had in the early 20th century?

Maybe there is some hope with "liberal", though: in Europe "liberal" still retains its classical political meaning--free marketeer. There is a story of one European trying to enlighten another about American politics: "Oh, in America, 'liberal' means 'socialist'" he explained.

In Europe, of course, 'conservative' tends to have a more blood-and-soil or Church-and-crown feel than in America, where, quite frankly most conservatives are conserving what Europeans call 'liberal' (our Founding was 'liberal' in the European sense).

Of course, America's brief brush with socialism under its proper name (think Eugene Debs, the Wobblies and the "Progressives" who briefly controlled the Kansas legislature and mandated courses in Marxist political economy at the state's land-grant college) left such a bad taste in the body politic's collective mouth that American socialists have had to work under cover of euphemism to get elected outside of Vermont and Berkeley.

Just for reference, I reserve the right to use "liberal" as a notation to not give "liberals" AKA lefties, fellow travellers or any other Anti-American socialists credit or acknowledgment by Capitalizing their names & organizations they work for or ascribe themselves to! As far as I am concerned they have lost all rights to associate in this Free Republic! This is a personal policy I have carried on for years, so all you English Majors out there, I try real hard to be correct in my verbage & punchuation so don't get your drawers in a knott; I'm just not as cultured as the rest of you Pearls of Wisdom, FYI!
