Bob Barr is on Gibson's show denouncing the Patriot Act as an invasion of privacy. He ripping the FBI leadership a new one calling them inconsistent and incompetant.

For all the thunder the last two weeks about HSA, it really was pretty tame, and even had some positives. We really need to revist the Patriot Act by the end of the year and identify the more obnoxious provisons, and work to get them either modified or repealed.

Bob Barr is on Gibson's show denouncing the Patriot Act as an invasion of privacy. Then why did he vote for it?

Let me see if I understand this: Barr is against the Patriot Act although the House version he voted yes on. He's not pleased with the Act because it was the Senate's (democrat lead at the time) version and not the House's version that was accepted.
So now he's in a position to fight many of the bill's "violations" by joining the ACLU. I think he appears to be consistent. Time will tell.
