Some would be happier elsewhere instead of "The Land of the Free." There are many socialist nations for them to choose from. Ask those who risk their lives to get to this nation where they want to be.

Dear William S. Burroughs:

Thank you for finally kicking the bucket.
I bet it's hot where you are.

Sincerely,
Constitution Day

I can't think of any recent beneficial contributions but the arabs are responsible for algebra.

That's what they say, but history shows India taught the Arabs algebra. Scratch that off your short list of Arab accomplishments.

Just got done reading the print edition. Great piece. Ted is quite the enigma. I saw him back in the late 70's in Detroit (Cobo Hall). He was preaching to the crowd not to do drugs (picture Detroit, Cobo Hall, in the late 70’s). Someone in the crowd was getting too rowdy on the floor in front of him while he was he was delivering his message, so he jumped off the stage and pummeled the guy (fight fire with fire I guess). Anyhow, it was a GREAT concert!

I was taught that the Egyptians (back in the days of the Pharoahs) were the ones who gave us Algebra. Long before these morons came around. Same with what we now call Arabic numerals. They apparently came from India. All were hijacked by the Arabs.

George Carlin wrote this. Not Ted.

I think you are thinking of the "I'm a Bad American Piece" that has been floating around the 'net.

This article was a published piece in the Wall Street Journal.
