How long until we hear that we have to have the influx from Mexico, no white people will drive trucks???????

As soon as they've taken over the bulk of the trucking in the US is when we'll hear how we must have them. After all, Americans don't want to do this work. Btw, it's not just whites, blacks will be hurt by this too.

And the sellout continues.

This decision means Canada will have Mexican trucks soon as well.

Having seen some of these trucks, I have serious doubts about them making it all the way to Canada. Better yet, what happens the first time one of them hits a patch of ice??

Methinks this will create the appropriate fire-storm of protest from patriotic truckers. They know how to take care of such problems.

"The problem is we need a more conservative President."

That problem is going to be even harder to solve with Bush having two more years to flood our borders with millions more fiscally and socially liberal, legal and illegal immigrants.

This helps our unemployment checks go further

Wait and see what happens to the stock market when the unemployment checks run out...

Soon, there'll be nothing but government employees working, oh wait, even THEY can be replaced with foreign nationals...

I've been fed up ever since William Safire's privacy article was confirmed. God willing, I'm hitting the streets-- soon.

What is Bush thinking??

That nobody would notice on the day before Thanksgiving?

How ironic that this happens without much publicity while at the same time GWB has approved of a commission to study security breeches that contributed to 911.

The time is right. We stage protests. We photograph those protests. We tape those protests. We mail copies to JimRob.

And just what do you plan to do with all the drugs and illegal aliens these trucks will bring with them?

You pose your question as if not one Mexican truck is currently allowed to cross the border.
Presently, hundreds of thousands of Mexican trucks cross the border annually, but they all stop at border free-trade zones where their goods are transferred to American vehicles. And please; we are talking about qualifying carriers, not coyotes, smugglers, or diamond tuck chevy vans.

The Answer, of course, is: to clean up radioactive bomb debris, replace citizens killed from terrorism who work in non skilled areas, provide drugs to pacify/cripple the masses.

There was a company in Colorado I think fined for using illegals to clean up asbestos (at half the pay rate) without giving them protection. They weren't fined for using illegals, just not giving them the proper clothing etc.

Only in America.

I'd not read too much into Mexicans' convenient silence on the moron issue.

Yeah, what are they going to say? How about "Bush is a moron for letting illegals from Mexico cross the US border at will and to let Mexican truckers take away the jobs of US workers while making US roads less safe".

But, gee gosh, if they said something like that he might get angry, close the borders and keep the Mexican trucks where they belong.

Everyone ready for the truck bombs?

One would almost think they're planning it so it can happen...

You pose your question as if not one Mexican truck is currently allowed to cross the border.

And you pose your answer as if American truckers aren't going to be affected by this. By allowing Mexican drivers to travel freely throughout the country, companies won't have a need for independent American truckers any longer. This will mean a whole domestic industry being wiped out for cheaper labor.

What do you propose these truckers do, become computer programmers? Oh wait, they can't, the H1-B program is importing thousands of foreigners to do that as well so there's no need for Americans in that sector any longer either.

Silly me, and I thought the government was in power to serve American citizens.

Maybe, we should simply help our visitors from the south to channel right through the good old US of A, until they arrive in Au Canada! Works for me. They can help 'cure' the lefties there.

this has been happening way before now...I am a truckdriver and there is and have been lots of mexican trucks on the hi-ways....one passed me the other day and had a flat on the trailer, the tire was completely gone and was throwing a rooster tail of sparks.....he couldn't understand enough english to tell him on the cb so we had to box him in and motion for him to pull over.

it you don't believe it, just stop at any truckstop and go in and see what you see. This is not new...just newly reported.
