BTW: In all fairness to Bush, he has no choice. Until (and if ever) the U.S. becomes energy independent, it will continue to operate at the mercy of (hostile) foreign oil sources.

Bump for your post, great links, cartoons, etc.

In FRegards to "fairness for Bush", yes we are between rock and a hard spot for oil right now, especially with the economy in the it's current shape, BUT THE ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN SILENT ON ANWR SINCE 9-11.

Common sense would tell us that we should drill here instead of buying from terrorists, even if the wackos were right and it would kill every harp seal in the artic.

All we get is more "religion of peace" propoganda from Powell. The Sowdees may love being murdering mohammadans, but they love $$$$ more. If domestic drilling were to start, so would public decapitations of terrorists in Mecca. The price of oil would go down in conjunction with the drill depth in ANWR. By the time the wells were on line, our ragheaded friends would have the price so low, we could cap the wells and just keep them there for insurance.
