FORMER TOP WHITE HOUSE AIDE TURNS ON ROVE; CLAIMS ALL DECISIONS ARE POLITICIZED
An article in upcoming editions of ESQUIRE magazine quotes a former top aide at the White House as saying there is a void of substantive policy-making within the Bush administration.
The former aide claims all decisions are politicized by Bush's top adviser Karl Rove, and that the policy staff is afraid to confront him.
Fancy media outlets are prepping stories on the ESQUIRE effort, newsroom sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Wonder who the former aide is, what their motivation is, and if it's true.

I heard some Congressman on Bill O'Reilly's radio show last week say Karl Rove called him after the congressman came out criticizing Bush's Mexican immigration policy and Rove threatened him: "You will never darken the door of this White House ever again."

It states that the former aide "claims" all of this. So, is this just some aide's opinion?

Wonder who the former aide is, what their motivation is, and if it's true. Think the key word here could be former

An article in upcoming editions of ESQUIRE magazine quotes a former top aide at the White House as saying there is a void of substantive policy-making within the Bush administration. Former top aide at which White House? The Clinton White House? The Carter White House?
And if there is a substantive void of policy-making within the Bush administration, how does President Bush expect to poison the air, pollute the water, starve schoolchildren and freeze old folks?
To: Arkie2
There's a reason he/she's a "former" aide.

Tancredo is the CO congressman who got the 'call' from Rove.
However, since all the aides except for Karen Hughes are still in place it is unlikely that anyone in the 'know' would be trashing Rove.
Personally, I would love to see Andy Card gone gone gone.

That was Tancredo and it wasn't said directly to him

The likes of which Rove isn't worthy of wiping.

Why?
To: linn37
Pretty interesting when you consider the opening this gives the dims to claim decisions about war in Iraq and security are driven by the poitics instead of objective considerations of what's in the national interest. If true this is no different than Clinton conducting policy by poll. That's why it's important to know if someone has an axe to grind.

They are trying to claim that Bush administration politicizes every decision. That is BS, CLYMER big time. I don't buy it. Bush was my governor for 6 years before he won the White House. He is an honorable man. Most of my neighbors and friends are close, long time friends of the Bush family. They think of "W as a son. We love him. He is not prone to following trends or polls. The article breaking tomorrow is pure BS, just like everything coming out of DassHOLE's mouth, etc. The DEMONcrats are a bunch of whiney little girlies!!!!!!!!!!
