Says Wildbill to a native Texan who learned how to say "Remember the Alamo" before he learned to recite the Pledge of Allegience. This idiot aint Col. Travis, and the article doesn't mention anything other than the "don't drink that last beer" comment.

If he had told his friend that drinking the last beer would result in his getting shot, or even having his butt stomped, then I would agree with you that he drew a line. But the article doesn't mention that.

Perhaps my sense of humor is a little dry for your taste. It was meant as a satiric remark.

Still, it was his last COLD beer. Perhaps his defense attorney should have used that as a mitigating factor with the jury. Surely, life imprisonment is too much for killing some lowlife who'd take your last COLD beer.
