You forgot to mention the Bermuda Triangle.

Nah. The pilot, Ahmad Mohammud from Saudi Arabi, is believed to have become temporarily disoriented on seeing Southern Command quarters.

You forgot to mention the Bermuda Triangle.

Probably because it wasn't in the news article I drew my comments from.

I suggest you armchair quarterbacks who come along with later information that is not in the earlier news reports bitch at the reporters who write the earlier reports instead of at the posters who comment on the material that is there.

Nope, I think it is silly how so many posters are able to conclude based on some early sketchy information that everything is a terrorist plot covered up by the government. Look how many suckers on this thread did just that, only to be shown to be reactionary and wrong.

Well, I think it's silly to worry about being "shown to be reactionary and wrong" :) (Unless, of course, you are in some kind of official position--which is an entirely different matter altogether.)

The important thing to me is not that people form tentative conclusions based on the best available information at the time, but that they are willing to change them as more information becomes available.

As a private citizen, I feel no need to be right all the time--that would be an impossible standard to meet. As long as I'm willing to change my assessment when new information warrants it, I don't see a problem.

As for people assuming that the government is trying cover something up--well, the government does have a long history of that...

exactly ... I hate to jump to conclusions but of the last 5 planes that I know of (6 if you include the one that didn't make it to its "target", i.e. Flight 93, so let's add that one since we know what the hijacking was intended for) ... 5 out of the last 6 airplanes, in the past 15 months that have hit or were intended to hit major buildings in the USA were driven by Muslims or those sympathetic to Islam ... I'm sure there were many more small airplane crashes ... how many hit buildings, well somebody provide more info ...
