Yet another and even clearer example of the intolerance these (presumably Wahabi) clerics have towards even their fellow Muslims. Turkey is still Muslim, just one with a secular government, yet these clerics are calling for its RECONQUEST and resumption of a theological state. Islam seems to be a genuine religion of peace alright, the peace of the grave for any who disagree with the clerics!

In a rather fascinating book I'm reading, "The Arab Mind" by Raphael Patai, the author points out that to the Arab, er, mind, the making of a statement such as this is almost the equivalent of it actually being so. The means by which he comes to this conclusion is a bit involved -- I'm not going to repeat it -- but it quite neatly accomodates and explains all the assertions and even blatantly outright lies I've seen from such as this.

Without the U.S. to defend them, I about believe that Europe could and would be conquered by just about anyone who attacked them. Even if the EU countries had larger military forces, it seems like they have just about zero will to fight. One wonders if they could even be bothered to defend their own homeland against attack.
