Thanks for your excellent post Linda.
This morning, my sons and I watched Tora!Tora!Tora! together. Every once in a while, Hollywood justifies its existence by producing a film that depicts real heros, and real history.

I had forgotten about the part where the National Park Service, in a battle with the Department of War, did not want radar on "their" land.

My ship was returning from Viet Nam in April '69
and we are in the background of one of the scenes in this movie.
