December 9, 2002 -- A top adviser to Saddam Hussein admitted yesterday that Iraq is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.

"We have the complete documentation, from design to all the other things," Lt. Gen. Amir al-Saadi told reporters in Baghdad. "We haven't reached the final assembly of a bomb nor tested it."

If it's released, he said, it will "embarrass" some countries and companies.

And will explain, I don't much doubt, why the French and Germans were so down on confronting Saddam regarding WMD's.

Ping. Now Bush can tell the entire continent of Europe, "I TOLD YOU SO!" and all non-US countries won't care. Shroeder will say that Saddam actually meant to say it was technology to make a cherry bomb. Blix is blissfully unaware, researching S&M in his office. [The S&M studies are vital to this process, don't you know?] Kofi Anon demands a wet noodle be produced at once to exact punishment.

Here at home, Powell will insist that there are positives to allowing Saddam to go forward.

But in the end, Bush, Rumsfeld, and the American people will know what has to be done.

The council had said Friday that copies would be translated and analyzed, and some sensitive material removed, before it was distributed to the council.

I haven't much use for the United Nations.  It reserves the right to delete anything it likes, so that members of the Security Council can't really be sure they receive all pertinent information.  If that is true, how can they make valid assessments of Iraq's exact WMD status?  The United Nations remains a entity out of control, answerable to no one.

Essentially the United Nations remains content to run interference for Sadam Hussein despite the implications if he does use WMDs.

Every death that results from Sadam Hussein's actions should thus result in an equivelant pound of flesh being taken from the rogue United Nations.

He said the report also includes sensitive information about how other countries helped Iraq with programs to create weapons of mass destruction.

If it's released, he said, it will "embarrass" some countries and companies.

Pakistan? China? No, they have no shame.

I think you might be on to something. This might be Saddam's revenge on France for approving the UN Resolution...

and some sensitive material removed

You should also note that the article says the UN changed its mind; the US (and the other permanent members of the security council) get to see the full and complete report. The UN tried to pull some cr-p on us, but Bush stood them down.

It also means they don't need those companies anymore.

They have what they wanted.

I expect an announcement just prior to when it looks like we're going to move that they have nuclear weapons, thinking that will hold us off.

I'd start with France and Germany and work my way back to the UN.

I remain unimpressed by Lieberman and Gore. Are their statements indication of a new change in policy by the Democrat party? Are they now hawks? LMAO, these two change direction with each shift in the political breezes. Today they think Sadam is lying. Tomorrow they'll oppose anything Bush plans to do to, do to those lies.

First it was Liberals. Then it was Progressives. Next I think it should be Panderers. They can change their party mascot from a donkey to a bear. Everyone loves Pander Bears.

The Democrat party is one seriously whacked out group of idiots.

He insisted that despite knowing how to build a nuke, Iraq has not done so.

Well, that capability must be destroyed.

Shalom!

Hi...Kattracks and my fellow Freepers,

Concerning the direct quote from: Mr. Goreb-a-tross,

"Former Vice President Al Gore, speaking on ABC's This Week, said he thinks "Saddam Hussein is lying.""

What do you think about that?...hmmm...Gore calling Sodom a LIAR!

Gore and his sidekick Liberman have put it All into prospective for us:

It takes two expert LIARS to know another expert LIAR!

GOD Bless America Land Of The Free and Home Of The Brave!

NAZUZIM!....Let's Roll.

While I disagree with the French on many issues, they are a sovereign state. Until they go beyond the bounds of acceptable state behavior, they can do as they please. The U.N. is not a valid world body. It's officers are not voted on by the people it seeks to govern. It is a rogue operation whose goals are no different than any other tyrant's throughout history. They want total control. Why in the world would be give it to them? As an entity that provided a way for nations to communicate in an effort to stave off wars, they were valid. They have long since left that mandate behind in an effort to control everything from business, to education, to religion, to the air we breath and the water we drink.

Screw the UN.

Well, we wouldn't know that anyway. And that thought had crossed my mind. But if the UN is exposed deliberately undermining us through deceit, it will have hell to pay. I don't know how much Kofi Annan is going to risk to try to stop us from doing something we're probably going to do no matter what.

I agree with that. It was good of you to point out my error also. I had thought that the UN was still reserving the right to sanitize only to a lesser degree. I believe you are correct in stating it looks like there will be no sanitization.

The UN doesn't seem to be put off by the idea that they are willing to run interference for Hussein. All along they've acted as if the "evil" US was simply throwing it's weight around.

I basically agree. I think France and Germany are going to be exposed as deeply involved with Saddam's WMD. If (when) there are American casualties due to these weapons, I'm going to blame France and Germany first. They not only helped arm him, they helped prevent their discovery.

If this proves to be the case, which I think will, I will not forgive them.

Is there anyone Iraq would rather (embarrass) than the U.S.?

Also, why is Gore already saying they are lying?

This could be interesting.

When all is said and done, don't discount the idea that US firms have circumvented the rules to pass contraband to Iraq. France, Germany, Russia and others have likely traded with Iraq in violation of principles that would keep the west free from exposure the Iraqi violence.

There's a vast sickness that has infected this planet with just about everyone willing to cast common sense to the wind for a buck's worth of profit.
