We've got lots of those trees in Colorado. They're called Colorado Blue Spruces. OK, you're right, I feel much better. I'll back away from the edge now. #;^)

I note the shredded wheat rooftop. I often use layered mini-frosted wheat cereals for roofs. It gives a very realistic touch -- looks just like snow on a thatched roof.

I would just like to say that judging is going to be VERY tough. There are a lot of good entries here.
Once again, thank goodness I drafted Mudboy Slim as co-judge so I'll have someone to blame if I pick the wrong house. :)

Actually, I built a Gingerbread House last year and I wish I'd of taken a picture of it. It had a deck with a hot tub, which was a big hit. LOL! (Pretzls & Gummy Bears)

A thread where we post about where we live -- or where we're from. That's a great idea.I would have quite a few childhood places that I would post about. The gingerbread castle is only the bigining of the wild places that once existed (and some still do) in New Jersey.

Howdy and good evening everybody!
This was a great and fun thread today and I hope the best gingerbread house wins, though, I think FTH and MUDBOY have a HUGE task ahead of them in finding the winner.
I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for all you have done and are doing here and elsewere for you fellow freepers.
Especially thanks for welcoming me to Freerepublic and to this and other threads. You have all been a real "life saver" for somone who's stuck in a liberal's wasteland!
I hope the rest of this year and next year I can be on FR more often, maybe after I've settled into my new apartment.
I wish everyone a joyous and blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
God Bless You All!

This is a real house, circa 1869, that has now become a Bed & Breakfast joint. It's pretty, is the reason for it's presence here today.
And No, it's prolly not made of GB.
That would be for the FruitCake thread. ;-)
