It used to be open all year round in the 60s and 70s but then the owners decided to close it for whatever reason. My guess is financial. We have a lot of cool things that are pretty close to my house. I used to live about 45 minutes East of here when I was a kid so coming to all of this stuff seemed do far away, but worth it at the time. Now it is all run to the ground. I will have to start posting some of this stuff here if there is interest.
Please do. I know I enjoy "living vicariously" through others by their sharing points of interest about where they live. I'm not certain if I will ever get there, so it's great to know about a place from someone who does live there! :-)
