I love J.C. Watts, too, but hasn't he recently announced his leaving the House (not the Senate)?

He was interviewed on either Hannity or another national conservative talk show. I think he also has a book out.

J.C. Watts Jr...

Yeah, 'cept for the pesky fact that he isn't a senator, and leaves congress next month when his term ends.

J.C. Watts Jr...

You all must be from Nebraska, what with calling for J.C. Watts, Ron Paul and Tom DeLay for Senate Majority Leader.

News flash! Unlike Nebraska's unicameral legislature, the Congress of the United States is bicameral, consisting of the House and Senate.

J.C., much as I love him, is no longer a member of the House of Representatives. Ron Paul and Tom DeLay are both members of the House, not the Senate.

It's the Senate leadership we're debating about, thus rendering J.C., Ron, and Tom ineligible.

Howsomeever, Don Nickles of Oklahoma would (IMHO) make a fine Majority Leader.

Don clangs when he walks.
