12) Go back to your original fiies recipe.

McDonald's is in a race to the bottom with Burger King and Wendy's. They used to have the best fries around, and still do just because the others are worse.

Burger King went to the strange crunchy fries and Wendy's taste like they've been in the freezer a few years past the expiration date leaving McDonald's the winner by default.

I hate all fast food fries, which are all crispy on the outside with nothing on the inside. Doesn't anybody like potato on the inside anymore? (Mrs. Winners used to have potato wedges, but they've dumped them in favor of crinkle cuts)

About a year or so back, some Hindu group sued McDonalds 'cuz McD's used BEEF broth in the cheese-eating-surrender-monkey oil.

Have you ever had Belgian fries (pomme frites)? They are great. There are friteries on every corner in Belgium selling them. I'm told their secret (if you can call it that) is that they cook the fries twice. This gives them a pleasant extra crunch on the outside.

Then there are British fish and chips (fries). The chips are typically soggy and often doused liberally with malt vinegar to give them a tangy taste. They are okay in their own way.

There are many different ways to fry a fry. I wish American fast food outlets were more creative.
