AMEN!!! Why should we eat one of our own just to make Jesse Jackson and the rest of the professional race baiters happy? I agree that Lott stinks as Majority Leader, the Senate rules regarding the Impeachment Trial were an affront to the Constitutuon and his limp wristed power sharing with the 'Rats made me sick and for either of these two reasons I'd like to see him go. But not now...not to appease Jackson and Sharpton and the rest of those goons. No Way.

That "If you had a chin" line is very funny if you really mailed it to me and not just posted it here.

Hitler lost an Army at Stalingrad because he refused to give an inch. The GOP is faced in the same situation now. The Russians learned to cede ground for strategic regions but the Fuhrer could never bring himself to do so and it was disastrous time and again. It doesn't matter what motivates the Dems or how hypocritical they are what matters is public perception and Lott is a PR disaster if he stays in a leadership roll. I am not a big Bush fan but I think that he and Rove understand the situation and will take action, could be wrong but I give the men that much - they're smarter and more determined than the rest of the GOP dolts.

I want the Dems to win this one. All the likely alternatives to Lott will be far more damaging to them. Let the Republicans take the moral high ground and hand a tactical defeat to the Democrats in one stroke (to Lott's hair-sprayed head).

Reg....

You are preaching to a sanctimonious, self righteous group here on FR, people that for some reason glory in self flagellation. In 04 they will be on here begging for conservative votes, baying that the barbarians are at the gates and sky will fall if we do not vote for all republicans.
