Jihad and Communism

Since Sept. 11th 2001, Islam's fanatics have been killing "infidels" en masse around the world, particularly Jews, in planned extermination campaigns that, if left unchecked, could reach the ferocity of the Nazi Holocaust. At times like this, it is altogether fitting to revisit the subject of Communism, the first modern terror movement. An understanding of the mind and political faith of the Communist lends insight into the mind of today's Islamist terrorist. Communists, lest we forget, murdered over 100 million human beings according to the "Black Book of Communism." The Communist Jihad, deriving support from elite quarters throughout the free world, struggled for Homo Sovietica in like manner to the Islamist struggle for Dar es-Salaam. Communists, like their Islamist co-religionists, would stop at nothing in a totalitarian quest for world domination. Both are responsible for unprecedented human suffering, depravity, poverty and death. Islamism and Communism are virtually identical; their differences are more cosmetic than substantive.

The Islamist and the Communist believes, with a sense of absolute righteousness, that he is performing good works when he acts to impose his narrow faith on others. And what is this narrow faith that justifies, as a means to an end, an abandonment of all strictures of morality? In the case of the Islamist, the belief is that all rights are to be surrendered in the service of Allah. The word Islam means, submission to Allah and the Islamic State, as part of the "Ummah" or world Islamic Superstate, is a vehicle to ensure such submission. The Communist believes that all rights belong to a "scientific" godless State controlled by themselves. With their superior "education" and alleged insights into human nature, which they claim derives from such disciplines as Humanism and Psychology, the Communist believes it is his right, along with the right of his comrades, to control others "for the common good."

Any crime, however heinous, has been justified and excused in the service of this authoritarian idea. Islamists and Communists are absolutely convinced in their right, as a matter of principle, to ultimately dominate the planet as a way of transforming mankind in their own image. One movement believes it's carrying out the will of the almighty, the other the will of "science." Both worship at the alter of the State and consider State power as the preferred vehicle toward the fulfillment of a twisted messianic fantasy.

America, the last best hope of mankind, is facing the same spiritual threat from Islamists today as it did when Communism was on the march. The reason America has remained remarkably free from the grip of an authoritarian utopian faith is because our founding generation recognized that rights and responsibilities derive not from the State but from the creator may he be blessed. Our Christian founders preached that individuals should look within and seek, through prayer, a personal relationship with Jesus. They had experienced the wrath of State religions and had chosen to come to America to worship as free men according to the dictates of their individual conscience. In a real and tangible sense, America fulfilled the true teaching of the Bible in this regard which views Caesar, or the State, as a separate entity than G-d and respect for the rights of others. Religion was a matter of personal conviction.

Islamism and Communism seek centralized control of property, economy, education, thought, and all aspects of human endeavor in the interest of, they believe, achieving a utopian re-ordering of human nature. Christian America seeks the opposite, an individual relationship, or non-relationship as the case may be, with the Creator as the grantor of self-evident rights with the State serving to protect those rights. Taking exception to left-wing propaganda peddlers, America doesn't aspire to control the world or forcefully dominate anyone.

However, socialists do aspire to control America, and have already so infested our institutions that an outside observer would be fair in questioning "Who Rules?" Pro-Western allies around the world are diminishing, the Left is rallying, and we are going into Iraq almost alone, precisely because America's light is dimming under the weight of socialist tyranny! How so?

America has lost its ability to PERSUADE in international affairs, because we no longer stand on the world stage as a coherent nation-state where our actions will be correctly understood as proper for the defense of a singular nation's INTERESTS. We are instead a social democratic, and increasingly socialist, multi-cultural/multi-nation empire promoting anti-free market trade regimes to benefit a few elites and globalized banks and multinationals, while also serving as the world's policeman when we are not going after enemies. We haved lurched, in terms of foreign policy, from anti-Soviet containment, to new world order building, to Third Way scheming, to world federalism (Somalia and ICC), to a return to normalcy in the space of 10 years!

The world looks at our actions and asks:"does this policy represent real American interests?" "Which faction/interest group do we have to deal with now?" The next thought on their minds is, maybe if they wait, the policy will change and we will be cajoled into "apologizing" for everything. Good grief. And it is all rooted, fundamentally, in the challenge to our nation-state presented by the social democratic order that the Left is engineering here, and which dominates personal political views of the Clintonistas who are STILL IN POWER at State, CIA, and middle ranks at Justice.

P.S., real "terrorism" is not only the obvious, but also the INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF POLITICAL TERROR. Any student of socialist systems will understand that Leninism is the creation of an entire "superstructure" (government institutions, law, special action groups, etc.) that instills terror into citizens every day without actually having a bug in every home and concentration camps. The refined art of political terror Soviet, Romanian, East German and Chinese style is to have show trials, propaganda to destroy opposition icons, the use of "psycho-politics" to create a society in constant need of therapy (with political dissidents put on drugs and sent to "mental institutions" in order to tarnish them), and imprison through trumped-up charges or whatever means necessary key "influencers of resistance." The social democrats and Laborites of the world (who emerged from violent groups in the 19th century), today practice their own political terror through onerous legislation, and when that is not enough to get their way -- anti-democratic judicial activism, lawsuits, and prosecutorial terrorism based on implicit (and occasionally explicit) force to coerce social change. Of course, they are also experts in the promotion of "social therapy" and won't be happy until everyone is using some kind of mind-altering drug (heck the schools are pushing them these days!). All such drugs and alcohol alter a person's ability to naturally REASON, and Liberty is based on that capacity.

That having been said, what of the USA today? You all know the score.
