Thanks, what an account! He is a very courageous man, and obviously, an ethical one. That's always a disadvantage in dealing with a megalomaniac demagogue like Chavez.

Quite frankly, I am stunned by the strength of these officers and by their commitment to their country. I hope somebody somewhere is relaying this to Washington.

Actually, as an afterthought, everybody should send a little message to the White House calling attention to what's going on in Venezuela. I think they're probably on top of it, but it never hurts to let it be known that there are Americans who care about it.

Most of the US press is surely not very interested - or looks through its left-wing periscope and completely misinterprets the situation. As several people have pointed out on this thread, the "class warfare" that the US press keeps mentioning obviously is the result of the fact that Venezuela has several million "wealthy citizens" (who decided to march to protect their wealth, presumably).
