Just heard the news. I guess the dumb-as-craps really want to win this time?
To: Timesink
Even the degenerate liberals think he's a dork.
To: Timesink
This means Lieberman's going to run, then. He's already said that if Gore doesn't run, he probably will.
Get ready for the free-for-all.

CNN just reported that .. WOW .. what happen?

Has he recovered from the attack of the stun gun?
To: Southack
IS THIS TRUE??
Why doesn't Drudge have it on his site?
I dunno about this
To: Timesink
Geeze - it's a bout time for him to read the writings on the wall...
19% favorable rating, books don't sell, Bush's favorability is over 60% for 14 months now - very different from Papa Bush's spike in popularity...the longer this high rating last, the more it becomes a habit for voters to like the man regardless whatever negative campaigns the dems are throwing at him...
barring a total disaster in the economy or the war on terror - it looks like a Bush vs Kerry run...sorta like Bush Sr. vs Dukakis...lol..

Darn! I wanted his topless in the hot tub with "Whinerman" pic from last night to be used in campaign ads! For or against, it didn't matter!

Pretty close. They're saying that the President probably threatened Algore's life if he ran, for one.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
He is now on the hollywood circuit plugging his book sales. He needs to plug his book because it is number 2223 or so on the NYT Bestsellers list.

Gore to Announce That He Will Not Run for President in 2004
By ADAM NAGOURNEY
l Gore has decided against running for president in 2004, ending a month-long flirtation with another candidacy, according to associates of Mr. Gore.
Mr. Gore will announce his decision in an interview on 60 Minutes tonight, according to those sources. The decision marks the end of a chapter in the political life of Mr. Gore while immediately recasting the entire Democratic field.

If true, this is unbelievable. Gore was the most formidable candidate in the RAT fray and there is a very good chance that he would have beat Bush if Bush ends up invading Iraq and submerging the country back into another recession. That said, good rittens. Never liked Gore. He's a scary guy, but there are some in the RAT crowd like Hillary who are equally if not more scary. I thought he shot himself in the foot politically with his botched SNL appearance last night.

Bwaaaa-hahahahahahahaaaaa !
Gore is out and there will a bloody free for all over who gets the nod for 2004. Hillary is hoping that her face job does not fall apart by 2008. She will look like Michael Jackson in drag by 2006 .... Clock is ticking.

Check out Al Gore's
REVIEW of
Cast Away.
To: Timesink
By Will Lester
Associated Press Writer
Sunday, December 15, 2002; 4:10 PM WASHINGTON Former Vice President Al Gore has decided not to run for president in 2004, a senior Gore adviser said Sunday.
Gore planned to make the announcement on CBS "60 Minutes," the adviser said.
Gore would have been the likely front-runner in the Democratic field, even though many party activists have said privately they hoped he wouldn't run.
After gradually re-entering politics over the last year, the Democrats' 2000 nominee campaigned for selected candidates around the country this year, then spent the last month promoting a book on the family that he wrote with wife Tipper and making an extensive round of media appearances, including "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

Does this mean he's gonna have more time to host SNL and do sit-coms? He's going to need the time to sue the Unibomber for plagiarism.

That loud sound you hear in the background is Hillary, smacking her lips, and savoring the idea.

I hope that he tries to blame it on Rush, like Rush had plans to disrupt his book-signing.

That's what happens when you make yourself and your wife look like stupid schmucks on TV.
The Gore's are such fools.

Is it the same way they acted on election night? You should have seen them LAST night. They were all convinced that Gore was sending out all sorts of subliminal signals on SNL that he was absolutely, positively going to run! They seemed to have no clue of the fact that the WRITERS write the sketches, not Algore. And now, only 16 hours later, they're completely sideswiped with this news! Bwa-ha-ha!

He always knew what he wanted to be when he grew up.
Maybe he just figured out that he isn't growing up, just growing old. Fine wine ages - Ripple just goes flat and stale.

UPDATE: Gore will be expounding on his reasons tonight on 60 Minutes "Weeell, Tyipper and ah have thought long and hard about...it, and ever since we started our media blitz our books have sunk lower on Amazon's sell list than Osama bin Laden's 1001 Goat Recipes Cookbook..."

Yup, he could change his mind, but if he did he would come out looking like a bigger a$$ than he already is ("I'm not running, oh wait, I am running).
Guess we all know now why Gore was willing to make such a buffoon of himself last night--he had nothing to lose by doing so!

I was watching SNL with a friend last night - It was most obvious to both of us he has no intention of running by viewing his childish temper tantrum on the show.
He truly has mental problems. I wouldn't be surprised if he shoots up a high school next week...
To: Timesink; Scholastic; Gunrunner2
Gore deciding not to run opens up a tremendous window for Hillary to jump in and win the nomination. I am predicting a Hillary v. Bush matchup in 2004. This would be the GOP dream ticket because Hillary's probably the only RAT that Bush can safely defeat in 2004 if he goes forward with his planned invasion of Iraq.
