Gargle, and kiss the bride/groom/bride/oh whatever!
The ring bearer was cute, but the little tike carrying the gerbil cage was just adorable.

I think there is money to be made in the manufacture of mirrored balls and managing
a look-and-sound-alike band doing Village People tunes...

The African Church is the fastest growing segment of Anglicanism but it still feels
that it is dancing to a Western tune, where congregations are dwindling.
Something that is interesting to note is that within the mainstream Churches of Christ
here in the USA...the congregations that are predominantly African-American are probably
the most socially conservative (on average).

The widening gulf was symbolised at Lambeth when a Nigerian bishop attempted to exorcise the Rev Richard Kirker, the general secretary of the London-based Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement. I wish I had been there to see it.
European and American liberals in the churches are absolutely terrified of third-world Christians, most of whom are much more conservative. This is true of many Protestant denominations as well as the Catholic Church.
You have to wonder whether the Republicans aren't going the wrong way about prying Hispanics and blacks from the clutches of the Democrat party. Maybe they should start asking them how they can vote for such immoral people.

The latest successor to the See of Canterbury has so far said that while his own personal philosophies are definitely left of center, he recognizes that his new position requires him to try to keep the Anglicans together in a collegial fashion, rather than try to lead them in a direction that he'd like to see them go. So I expect to see him condemn this act.
OTOH, he's not a Pope. He can advise, and if he condemns this act it will help satisfy the African Anglicans (as well as the ECUSA, which has so far not favored legitimizing such a ceremony). However, the next step belongs to whoever the Primate of Canada is. He or she may have the power to initiate disciplinary action against this Bishop, depending on what Canon Law is in Canada.

The story makes it sound like there is some doubt as to what the ArchDruid of Canterbury might do. I thought his track record on this subject was well established.

Reply to post #1: Proving that the anglican church like so many other mainline churches are now apostate churches of satan.

BUMPUS MAXIMUS.
Happy Gaudate Sunday to you my friend. May the rest of Advent be filed with joy.

Things like this make me happy I'm a Catholic! LOL!! I was thinking the same thing! The more the Anglican and Episcopals do this, the more of their number will come over to the Catholic Church. My former niece-in-law's mother was Episcopal and left the Church when they got a new Priest who brought along her female 'partner'; and this was in South Mississippi!!
I think it Andrew Sullivan who said most homosexual men don't want a marriage, but they'd sure like to have a wedding!

What has she done? Defender of the faith? Nothing but knighted faggots. When leaders do not stand up to evil, decline and fall follows.
