And a Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thanks for taking the time to take the pictures of our party and post this thread.
I, of course, was in FReeper heaven when I found out that Rep. elect Steve King was there. He ran on and was elected to the Congress on (among other good Conservative issues) the National Retail Sales Tax. He and I were able to chat briefly about fundamental tax reform (I realize that not all FReepers are big fans of the NRST, but I have not yet met a Real FReeper who likes the IRS!) and other issues important to FReepers.
I predict that Mr. King is going to become a powerful force in the U.S. House of Representatives for taking our country back.
I thoroughly enjoyed partying and mingling with the DC Chapter FReepers. We have had a great year, and next year will be even better.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

All the things you wanted to know but were afraid to ask As an "Older Woman", as a matter of information, I think it is appropriate for me to mention there were quite a few young stud muffins at this party. They engaged in intelligent conversation and knew what they were talking about.
As an additional matter of information, the Middle Aged Stud Muffins were equally well informed...and totally charming.
There was a noticable absence of Old Geezers. They must have all been at another party advocating for more handouts.
End of Report, known as the inside scoop

Actually, *this* entry took "a lot out of me"! ;)
The Top 10 Strom Thurmond Holiday Pickup Lines
10 "Is that a banana in my pocket, or am I just happy to see you? I'd really like to know. I can't feel below my neck."
9 "So, is it true that y'all can vote now?" 8 "So, Miss Smith, you were a topless dancer *and* a Playboy model? Did you know I am rich"
7 "Want a hit off this oxygen?"
6 "Am I in heaven? 'Cause you look like an angel. No, really -- am I dead yet?"
5 "If I said you had a nice body, would you give me one of your kidneys?"
4"You make my heart skip a beat... and another... and another... uh-oh..."
3"Ever date anyone who's 693 in dog years?"
2 "Baby, these sheets ain't just for wearin'."
and the Number 1 Strom Thurmond Pickup Line...
1 If you come over to my house for Christmas dinner you can meet Senator Lott.

"...if you ever get out to my neck of the woods" Will do...I love skiing and other than Jackson Hole, Wyo., there's no place I wanna go back to more than Telluride...unfortunately, I sorta went crazy with my vacation time this fall and with me going to Germany this Spring, Coloraddy skiin' probably ain't gonna happen again 'til next winter...unless I can git myself fired, of course.

Actually, *this* entry took "a lot out of me"!;) ROTFLOL! It was fun putting that list together. I started with #1 and then worked backwards. Putting Lott, Thurmond and the holidays together in one sentence was quite a challenge. I was going for the cheap laughs. I'm glad it gave you some chuckles.

Yep...next year, jla and I are kidnapping our Congressman and bringing him up fer the DeeCee Christmas Party, whether he likes it or not!! And he's DeputyWhip...LOL!! Eric doesn't strike me as the partying type. LOL! You have to tell me if he'll be there so I can attend as well. If I hadn't had church commitments this past weekend, I would've attended. Sounds like everyone had a great time.

Heck, Eric parties like a politician...LOL!! Using other people's money???
Sorry, I couldn't resist....no disparagement of Eric intended. I like him. He always responds to my emails/letters. Seems like he has quite a career developing.
To: iceskater
"Using other people's money???" I got no problem buyin' him a drink...he's the real deal as far as I can tell...MUD

I got no problem buyin' him a drink...he's the real deal as far as I can tell...MUD He should be buying you a drink.
But I agree, he seems to be pretty decent. I voted for him both times he ran for Congress.
To: iceskater
"I voted for him both times he ran for Congress." Actually, when it came around time to find Bliley's replacement, I was a supporter of the Chesterfield Pubbie and not the Henrico dude, Cantor. I always think of WestEndGOPer of being more of the gutless, RINO types and us SouthernRichmond/Chesterfield folks of being the TrueBlue RightWingWhacko-types...but Cantor could pass as a genuine RightWingWhacko and I love him fer it...MUD

Da**! Sorry I missed it!
