I didn't do all I would have liked to have done but what I did was worth it. Iowa didn't have the greatest year this year but our congressional delegation has had a shift to the right. King was a good trade for Ganske.

They need geezers? Maybe we can help with that. I'm having fun telling everyone younger than I that I look forward to them supplying my SS, Medicare and of course, I want my free prescription drugs. I'm trying to make a point they'll think about.

The day of the presidential election my grandson, Jason, called. He voted for the first time. He teased me my telling me he voted for Gore.

I thanked him. I told him I want all these freebies and Gore was more likely to steal from him and give to me. He assured me he was just kidding. (I knew he was.)

"I'm one of those West Enders......"

LOL...that's my point, I reckon. I'm admitting that my stereotyping was inaccurate regarding West-Enders, although I still figger us Chesterfield folks could whup y'all WestEnders six ways to Sunday!!

A fine idea, indeed.

We can send them some of ours,, we could hold a lottery type fund raiser,,, people could put money down on their least favorite geezer,,, the one they would like to be shipped East. The top 10 Geezers with the most money in their Mason Jars (this is the boonies, after all) would be packaged up and sent off.

I'm off to call my banker,,, I'm gonna borrow money to make sure my Geezer wins!
