Your "neighbor" kitty reminded me of the "two-timing" cat, a snippet from this book, which, incidentally, is one of the most charming and entertaining books about cats, for cats and BY a cat that you could ever read. In fact, if you are still looking for a gift for that special cat lover, this book would be a great one. It's been around for years but is a timeless treasure.

Charlie was a stray that found me at my office one day. I thought he was a friend's shep and called "Charlie" to get him away from the street and the traffic. He came over to me and I realized that it wasn't my friend's dog,just a dead ringer for him.

There was no collar or tags or any way to identify the owner, and when I inspected him, his pads were cut, the nails worn down from his time on the road and his ribs were way too prominent from a lack of regular chow so I decided to take him home.

We got him nursed back to health and enjoyed twelve wonderful years together. I've no idea how old he was when he crossed over the rainbow's bridge because every year at his physical the vet would have to reduce her estimate of his age.

He is missed to this day.

Just came in for lunch and haven't read the whole thread but the pictures of our pets are so adorable! I only have one question Billie, where is Roscoe? Did I miss him?
