Well... let's not believe our own BS too completely. It could be argued that the rise of the Republican party in the south was populated by those same southern racist democrats who jumped overboard when the democrats became the party of the minorities.

It couldn't have happened without a willing press. THey've been lockstep with the DNC on this matter. And it is indeed astounding that the DNC has been able to paint us all with such a broad brush for years, and have it stick.
