This was originally written in Feb. of 2000. The Sierra Times thought it appropriate to republish it now, and I agree.

The most racist people in America, today, are Liberal Black people. We, (Conservatives), need to start calling them out on this at every opportunity, or our country will eventually become (more) Balkanized.

Walter E Williams, America's hearthrob who ocassionally sits in for Rush, says he dislikes the term "African-American" because it is vague. This would include the Arabs from the north and the whites in the south. I dislike the term because it is limited to only "Americans." We hosted a student from Jamaica (legally), black, not American by nationality. What about blacks from other countries?

Thanks for posting this Tex-
JJ Johnson is a superb writer with an excellent perspective of the world around him. He and the staff of ST have created a great forum for getting the news out to real Americans.

That's the thing. Conservative whites continually praise conservative blacks and give them a great deal of support and even genuine affection. A reasonable person would conclude that much of the friction between black "leaders" and conservatives is political and has very little to do with skin color.

The most racist people in America, today, are Liberal Black people Point of order, socialist whites are also racists - they cannot believe people of another skin colour can possibly ever succeed without their help and favour.

I think it'a time for conservatives to actively present themselves to Blacks and other minority groups as representing a sincere path to opportunity; whereas liberals represent a path to continued subjegation and dependence.
We generally don't do a very good job of this, but I think we could. People like Trent Lott don't help matters.

I've found that "black" doesn't offend anyone who isn't looking to be offended, though I'll sometimes use "African American" for Americans of African descent because, as one African American woman put it to me once, you can use that term to emphasize the American element. But it does get silly when the term is used as a blind euphamism for "black".

Please see post 9 - and I quote: "Nope."
