While I agree with you about the sacredness of the place, sometimes we must be a bit accommodating. A priest friend of ours says Mass on a cruise ship for those folks, it's just in a room which has been set aside. And I am sure that there are other examples.
Mass should be accessible to the people. Let me use this personal example - we were driving from Yosemite (off-season) towards the Valley and really looked for a Catholic Church along the way. Checked the phone book and all. It wasn't that we could not find the Mass times, we just had no idea where the place was without a detailed map and no one answered the phone. They didn't have big signs like McDonald's.
If you have 3,000 folks wanting to attend Mass, I say 'yes' send someone from the diocese over to them lest they encounter the transportation/location problems that we had.
Of course Disney, for all the reasons cited by others, doesn't want their park polluted by worshippers, they just want their money.
Add motel rooms, transportation, food and trinkets, and you're talking about spending well over $1,000 for one day at Walt Disney World.
You'd better believe they're lining up at the gate way before 9am. And staying 'till midnight.
Soon to be remodeled into a gay bath house.
McD's tried to get away with cutting corners, essentially acting as if their customers would be too stupid to notice.
Disney's last in-house success with an animation movie was Lion King, I believe, which came out in 1992 or 1993. For the last ten years their big hits have come from their partner, Pixar (Toy Story, Bug's Life, Monsters Inc. etc.). Their last good movie was Beauty and the Beast; subsequent movies have had sexual content, undermined parental authority, been politically correct, and so forth. Disney, with its Gay Days and PC movies, figured they could play the folks for suckers, taking money from the conservative dumbos while supporting the homos.
Other companies are finding out too that when you lose track of your focus and think you can "get away with it, no one will notice" the Gods of the Copybook Heading with fire and terror return (as Kipling would say).
What, it was offensive to gays?
Say what??? Disney keeps expanding, and there's not enough room for Christian services? Seems to me a new chapel needs to be built. I recall going to Mass on Sunday at Disneyworld. Going for miles outside the park, especially when time is so limited anyway to enjoy all the attractions, just isn't feasible. Rather than agreeing with this nonsense, I would think there would be an outcry among the Catholic officials. Or, could it be...they want some of those Disney dollars in their own collection plates on their own premises?
Replace the word "Jew" with "Christian" and your statement is just as true. No need to single out the Jews, right?
And its homo workforce. Disney has been sliding for years now. It's sad when the family vacation destination cannot support Christian values.
What's next? No Bibles in the hotels? (or are they already gone)
I agree in principle. But there is a difference between serving people stuck on a boat, or at unfamiliar foreign ports. But people in Florida should be able to find a local church without too much difficulty.
If I recall correctly, the Orlando bishop has angered many potential Catholic brides by refusing to allow Catholics to marry at Disney World. His point being exactly that if one wants to be married by the Church one should be married in a Church. Disney World is a secular temple and not an appropriate place for a wedding.
That being said, I find it suspiciously strange that Disney would act this way. They can't be so tone deaf to their customers, can they? As was noted, resorts all over provide things for their guests, so guests have no reason to leave. Deliberately throwing out religious services seems illogical.

You should have been traveling on the Pennsylvania turnpike. There is a Catholic Church near New Baltimore that ceded land to the turnpike under some conditions. There are signs announcing Mass times, a few parking spaces, and steps and a pedestrian overpass at the Church location. One can stop along the highway, attend Mass, and keep on going.

Ooh. Good one. I love wishing a big, boisterous Merry Christmas to PC types.
The shareholders of publicly traded companies. These conglomerates are largely owned by institutional investors, meaning mutual funds. Which are owned by individual investors, putting their 401(k) money into the stock market.
Since over 50% of Americans have stock or mutual fund holdings, I think its safe to say that a significant percentage of Americans, predominantly Christian, "own" the "media".
That is, unless you are an anti-semitic, conspiracy theorist whackjob. In that case, your mileage may vary.
It's been about five years since I last set foot on Disney property, but my recollection of the services offered is this:
No "special facilities" were utilized. The Catholic Mass was held in the "Luau Cove" at the Polynesian Resort - the same place where the hula dancers and whatnot perform. The time that I was there, the place was about 3/4 full - and it was during the week that coincided with Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Despite a big bunch of south Louisiana Catholics descending on Florida, there was no problem with seating space at that time. One of my co-workers was there in early September of this year and mentioned that there were few empty seats at mass, but nobody was forced to stand.
I don't buy the "inadequate space" excuse. IIRC, there was only *one* service on Sunday morning. Another could be easily added before the seating area is needed for other purposes. Heck, I don't even think the area is used until the evening, when the luau events are scheduled.
That's just the facility that I recall, mind you. There are a number of large conference rooms in the various resort hotels - none of which are constantly in use (especially before 10:00 a.m.), any one of which would suffice if they just needed larger facilities.
I would've just said:
Who controls the British Crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who robs kingfish of their sight?
Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star?
We do! We do!
etc.
