We said adios to Disney a long time ago. Kids don't even want to go.

but corporate officials claim the 35,000-acre facility can no longer accommodate 1,500 Catholic and Protestant families who want to go to those Sunday services.

Funny, they seem to have no problem accommodating homosexuals during "gay days"...

It's called cleansing America of its heart.

Maybe they will build a bathhouse facility to accomodate Sunday Services for the Metropolitan Church.

> "Callahan said. 'It seems like you do need to look at the diversity aspect of this and try to serve everyone to the best of your ability.'"

In practice, however, we take the usual road of LOWERING service to a common denominator...

To be honest, can we expect otherwise from a corrupted, filthy company like Disney? To be even surprised by this is to ignore the fact that Disney left God behind decades ago.

Since I'm Jewish I'll do the Jew thing for you. I'm ashamed of what the Jews who control Disney have done. It's a scandal. Walt Disney (allegedly a bit anti Semitic) ran a much better company.

The whole Christmas observance is getting snaky.

I greet with "Merry Christmas," both in person and on the phone. I have actually been corrected that I should say "Happy Holidays" or worse. Pointedly. By Christians.

If you're at the Post Office counter, wish the personnel "Merry Christmas" and watch them squirm. I'm told by a postmaster that wishing a customer "Merry Christmas" on company time is grounds for immediate termination.

I'm a Roman Catholic so this isn't meant as Catholic-bashing.

That said...

Of course the local diocese lobbied for this... it puts the tourist dollars in THEIR collection plates. Maybe I'm getting too cynical but a lot our leadership is earning it...

I don't see why Disney or any other business should be expected to provide space for religious services. They did it as a courtesy, and now apparently the crowds have outgrown the space. As for Gay Day, while I hate the concept, it probably doesn't require any special facilities, so the comparison with providing space for religious services doesn't hold. Now, if someone can provide evidence that the "not enough space" reason is a sham, and that this was done to appease gay or anti-Christian groups, then I would be concerned.

I agree with you here. It would be very profitable for the diocese to offer free shuttle service to the Church from Disney World.

I wonder what those religious services on the Disney grounds were like. I remember the late Marquette basketball coach Al McGuire once said, "This game went faster than the noon mass at a ski resort."

Why on Earth would anybody want to go to a religious service run by Disney? That would be like going to McDonald's for brain surgery. They could probably do the job, but you might not like the quality of the work.

Disney is circling the bowl. Keep away unless you want to be sucked down with them.

I don't see why Disney or any other business should be expected to provide space for religious services.

It is the principle behind what Walt Disney stood for and built his company on compared to what the new crowd or people running the company is doing with it. Walt wanted the Christian services at Disney, he wanted family values. This new crowd is on their way to destroying Disney.
